MCCC 2025.2.0 TO DO
Added 2025-03-09 23:00:07 +0000 UTCWell, I think it's safe to say that mostly in 2025.2.0, I'm going to be doing post-expansion cleanup.
I have a handful of LE's that the game is regularly generating due to bugs in the game code that I'll see if I can write work-around to prevent errors until EA gets them fixed.
I have to try to figure out what EA's new format for tray Sim files are since they changed them in the expansion. We don't ever get any type of warning when they're going to do things like this and they also haven't documented the format of the files so there's not an easy way to determine what has changed and what I need to change, so I just get to reverse engineer everything and try to figure it out.
There are many Debug strings that aren't translated for other languages that I haven't been able to catch yet. I have always tried to include these strings in MCCC so other languages don't have blank buttons in the Testing Cheats, but it's very hard to track them down by anything specific since they're all translated in English. I'm going to try to come-up with a programmatic way I can find these for new expansions and such, going forward.
I don't think I'll get to anything "new feature"-wise, for this release, because I think these will take a bit of time to get figured-out...especially the tray file format change. So hopefully, when this version comes out, it will just be a cleaner, less-error spamming game for players if I can bypass the errors from the base game files that were introduced in this expansion!

Hi! I don't do other mods. I only do MCCC. What you're describing isn't something that I think would probably fit into MCCC's functionality, if it's possible at all. Things that affect the UI, like hotkeys and such, have to be supported by the framework that EA has provided mod devs to interact with and expand upon. Things like defining a hotkey to interact in some way with the UI isn't something that they provide to mod developers. I think if you look through the mod world for Sims 4, you'll find that there aren't any mods that do anything around "click this hotkey and xyz will happen". That's the reason why. There might be something, outside of the Sims 4 game, that could do things like that. Some hotkey utility programs exist that you might be able to tie to a specific executable like Sims 4 that when you click a certain key, it would do something in response. I don't really keep-up with things like that, though. You could always go to one of the general channels on the support Discord server and ask around.

I wanted to ask if you might ever consider making a mod to have a hotkey cancel a sim's current action on their action queue. (And if the hotkey could also work while in Free Camera Mode, I would cry an ocean of joy)

If you're seeing error messages, you should be going to one of the support channels listed in the post, because nothing like that is happening right now with MCCC.

2025-03-13 14:38:56 +0000 UTCNope. I would release another hotfix if there was anything broken. Public releases are just to update functionality that might not work as it did before (importing gallery Sims is what what affected with Businesses & Hobbies) and to add support for new features.

To be honest, as a simmer & Streamer that uses mods/cc I cannot even begin to imagine what you have to go through all the time. I personally get frustrated just updating, after EA updates lol. So, I commend you and all "MODERS & CC" producers because you and your community have HARD WORK, and I don't think the overall Sims community (esp. withing the Mod/cc) portion of the community gives you all enough applause. I see to many impatient post/comments, discords of frustrated ppl who pay etc., and I just I COMEND YALL, because y'all have so much to do and always continue to push forward though the tough bs. <3 so THANK YOU & TAKE THE TIME U NEED, we appreciate the hard work & appreciate amazing outcomes of your creations<3

Be great, if so, because I know a lot of people use that utility. I doubt I'll be able to hold-up my development to see if it's true or not, even if I was able to speak to the French developer about it! :D
