MC Command Center 2024.5.1 is out!

The latest public release, MCCC/MC Woohoo 2024.5.1, is out! This is the first hotfix to fix issues caused by today's Sims 4 update. There may be other hotfixes needed if any critical issues are found. I didn't find any issues with my tests, but there are so many variances in what could happen in people's games, who's to say if I got them all.

Known Issues:

A LE can show-up on start-up of your game if you have baby motive decay, friendship/romance relationship decay, really any of the decay changes could cause it if the settings are not set to default. So if you get an LE on launch of your game and the LE says something about a relationship statistic or a baby motive, it could be that issue. If you get this error, try redownloading 2024.5.1 and reinstalling. Like EA, I did a "stealth update" and fixed it in a later version of 2024.5.1. It didn't really warrant a full hotfix release because it wasn't a critical fix, but I didn't want people to continue having the issue until my next public release.
I've seen an error trying to use the new "Relationship Bits" feature and add a relationship bit between two Sims. The error, though, seems to be in EA's script where they're referencing an average value variable that they seem to have renamed to something else but missed fixing it in the reference in this case. I've done a work-around that can be downloaded if you redownload the hotfix and reinstall it that fixes the error MCCC was getting from calling the bad code, but the bad code will still be there and cause errors in some of the core game functionality, I think. Not a lot I can do about that, at the moment...maybe they'll "stealth fix" it.
Doing a Sim Detail Log with Relationships as an option can generate a LE. This is another that I've fixed. You just have to redownload/reinstall this hotfix.
Some dialogs don't allow selecting a single option. The update from EA broke the dialogs. I have a work-around that has fixed it if you redownload/reinstall.
If you have romance relationship decay set to zero, you can get a LE the first time you initialize a romantic relationship between two Sims. Everything still works ok. The LE doesn't cause any in-game issues or anything. Just annoying to see it each time. This is another that is fixed in this hotfix. You just have to redownload/reinstall.

Compatibility:

This has been tested to be working with (but does not require) GTW, OR, Get Together, Dine Out, City Life, Vampires, Parenthood, Cats & Dogs, Jungle Adventures, Seasons, Get Famous, Strangeville, Island Living, Realm of Magic, Discover University, Eco Living, Journey to Batuu, Snowy Escape, Cottage Living, Werewolves, High School Years, Growing Together, Horse Ranch, For Rent, Lovestruck, and the patch released August 8, 2024 - PC: 1.108.349.1020 / Mac: 1.108.349.1220. It will also work with anything after that Sims 4 update unless otherwise specified on Tumblr/Patreon posts I make after the update. Earlier Sims 4 versions may not be compatible, so we often do not support anything below the specified version here!

The legacy version of Sims 4 will now, and forever, use MCCC version 6.6.0, which can be found here in Patreon on an earlier post and on my website.

Yes. #mod-news is on the support Discord server. There's also lists out there that you can probably google and find that do the same thing. If I had a link handy, I'd send it your way but I don't. I usually don't keep-up with what other mods are working or not because I run a mostly only-MCCC game. Actually, I found it. Did you read the instructions on the server_info channel when you first joined with requirements on how to get access to all the channels? There's also details in the FAQ on my website: https://deaderpool-mccc.com/faq.html#gq3 Also, you're a subscriber. Subscribers have access to the two channels I listed for Patrons only. No validation is needed for those channels. As long as you're a subscriber and as long as your Discord and Patreon account are linked so Patreon can give you access, you will have access. You could also try to track it down yourself. I have a Troubleshooting section on my website in the help menu that has a Last Exception section in it, you could read. I also have a link in the Help menu for "TS4 Error Help" that provides some instructions for trying to track down errors. There are many mods that are broken right now. If you don't know the status of the mods you're using, you could 50/50 to try to figure out the cause. There's instructions for that in those docs I mentioned, or you could google and find some instructions as well, I'm sure.

I just tested it. It works fine with only MCCC so I am guessing it's another mod or cc. Only way to know for sure is to take it to one of the support Discord channels that I provide in the release post for getting help with things as we don't do support here.

I installed the most recent version of this mod and it doesn't seem to be working correctly. It shows up in my mods folder and in the sims 4 main menu custom content menu the file shows up like it would be working correctly in the game. When I log into the game though no button shows up for mc comand center and no other options are available. What can I do

"More CAS Columns" has been updated, if you hadn't found that out yet. There is a version for Tuesday's update. I installed it and it fixed the issue I had where my game would lock-up going into CAS.

It happens pretty frequently, unfortunately. That's why I had to add it to the FAQ! :) It almost always happens with the MC Woohoo download, as well. I don't know that I've ever seen anyone report it happening with the core MCCC file. And I think it's always with MediaFire, which is why my website now has the files on Google instead...one more possible mirror for users to be able to download from, if they need it. Thanks!

CF is the same version that I have here. I just downloaded it from there to verify it and it is. Same version, same file-size, same dates modified, etc. I can't say why it didn't work for you, but the file version there is right. Maybe you used an installer or something that didn't install it correctly. Anyway, glad it's working for you now.

If you have the right version of MCCC for the right version of Sims 4, and it's installed correctly and you have mods enabled, MCCC works correctly. That's all I can say because I have tested it and there are thousands of others using it at this point. I'm not responsible for any of those mods so I don't know if they've been updated or not. I have only updated MCCC so it works with the update. You'd have to go to the Patreons of other developers or to Discord to find out about others.

Hi. I'm back, also im so confused right now my brains not working so please bear with me. So I downloaded both modules. I removed all my mods and kept my XMLinjector , WW, the resource.cfg whatever that is and my basemental mods and your mods on that way I can figure out what's causing this exception or whatever that orange message says. So I went on discord and whenever I tried to upload my game version it won't allow me and I can not for the life of me figure out how to get that file to upload. so if there's a way you can get me into the discord so I can upload it and figure it out then thatd be awesome, im sorry if this confuses you also but I figured coming here may be able to help me more given the fact that you're basically god when it comes to this.

It specifically lists some issues that, if you see LE's from it, you should refresh and redownload because it fixes them. It's not MCCC. It's a UI mod. MCCC doesn't affect the CAS functionality at all. It can't because that requires modding Flash files, which MCCC does not do. That's from something like the "more columns" or "more traits" or one of those type of mods. I had the same issue with "more columns" until I got the latest version.

wickedwhims- has not been patched, recent update was 7/15 for wicked whims, its playable but it will "show script error" he is working on it tho. Secondly Lumpinou- she is aware of the issues, and has fixes but is running tests. before releasing the update- per her patreon post yesterday.

Update- CURSEFORGE - I deleted/ uninstalled the “Mc command “ mod from the “cforg app” and then downloaded the MC Command mod via the “LINK” from Patreon here- and it showed up when I click on the sim / computer etc- So i think either curse forge has not been updated properly- but the game is running fine - with the downloaded mod link from Patreon! 😌😌😌’

Also if your “using curseforge” regarding the “up to date version of Mc command - it’s not. I was as well- but once I deleted it off curseforge and manually downloaded the link from his partreon here- which - that worked and the Mc command options showed up for me! Hope that helps

I’m having the same issue - I have the latest version according to curseforge- I even deleted and re installed thru curseforge- however- when I click on my sims- I can’t find Mcc command option- anywhere- not computer- or anything- I’m gonna try deleting for curse forge - and download the link manual from here - I’ll see what it says and report back in a moment - but it keeps showing error on my be report - so let me try the manual download brb

So this was happening to me- exact error- whims had an update 7/15- redownload that version to replace ur current version- AS for LGBTQ- her pattern had a post 7/24- saying she knows the error and is working on it- but not yet released the update - try deleting her mod for the time being- it helped me not get the error for those two items

Hi! Try refreshing the download on this page, redownloading and reinstalling it. EA changed the dialogs so single select doesn't work like it did before...bug on their side. I have a work-around for the skill cheats dialog, since that was brought to the Discord server earlier today. If you redownload this hotfix and reinstall it, I think you'll find it works right now. Has anyone else experienced issues with MCCC no longer showing up in-game even with the recent update? Autonomous mean interactions are back on and when I went to check, MCCC doesn't show up as an option on computers, mailboxes, or even work in the cheat box. I've done everything I can possibly think of (yes I unzipped the folder) but it's just not there and now the game is unplayable. EDIT: Nevermind, I'm an idiot, make sure you're putting the files into the MCC subfolder and not just directly into Mods. lol

It's a virus scanner that is blocking an entire file server like a whole Mediafire server rather than blocking the files that actually have virus on them. hey there! thank you for updating the mod so quickly! i have an issue though - i tried with several different browsers, and i dont have an antivirus software, but every time i try to download the mod, it says its a virus. not sure what happened but it wont let me download it. im not sure whats being flagged, but i tried disabling everything that could block it but its still blocked D: it says a trojan was detected, i have the receipts but i can forward it if you need to look at it! thanks again <3

Yes. You have to download the correct version of MCCC for the correct version of Sims 4. If you look at the posts, I always have a compatibility section that tells what versions of Sims 4 it works with. 2024.5.1 is the hotfix you need to download and install for the current version of Sims 4. If you don't have that version, you should download it from one of the sources I provide it on and reinstall it.

I'm sorry, I should have worded this better... what I am saying is that I tested the mccc with no other mods or cc's and i still got the mccc last exception : last module called: mc_cmd_center_tuning.py, Last Function called: _change-decy_rate_for_statistics.....the only thing i did was load the game and when i got to the main menu and went into a save file thats when the last exception popped up. i also tested it with other mods and am still getting the last exception. i did update mccc to the new 5.1 update..

Installed the new update and still getting last exception error. First time with career script, second time with cas script. Both errors referencing the same thing that object "Body Type" has no attribute 'Mascara'. Due to error, MC Command doesn't show up when the sim is clicked on.

I updated with the most recent one this evening and it's all working fine now, thank you for your ongoing help. I am having my own issues with discord, I signed up ages ago for a game I played and now it won't let me log in with my email and my user name is useless, Its sure I can sort it out when I have the patience and time, but I need to get back to my cheating sim who just broke up a marriage :D

For people having issues with MCCC not showing-up in their game, make sure you have the zip file for MCCC 2024.5.1 not another version (like MCCC 2024.5.RC1). If you have RC1 make sure you do a refresh on the post. For some people, there was a version of the post with the wrong link on it until the post is refreshed. Tumblr, my website and Discord didn't have this issue so the files there were all correct.

Your version is correct. It's a typo because I had to guess what the file version would be because they didn't do patch notes for it. ;) The patch notes version is 1.08.289.1030 so I figured that if they updated it to 1.108.318 that they'd keep the last number the same since they USUALLY do.

When you click the links on my website to download it, you'd see the file it downloads has the same name as the one here. The link on my website is just a description. Clicking the link will download the file with the name you're expecting. This version will not work with a non-updated version of Sims 4. You should continue to use 2024.5.0 until you update your Sims 4.

Yeah. Apparently, the earlier version of Sims 4 had some critical bug and EA did a "stealth update" to fix it. No effect on modders, really. The first update broke everyone that will be, either way! :)

Did you authenticate yourself as a human and not a bot? There are instructions to do that in the #server_info channel that you are taken to when you first join the server. There are also details about that on my website in the FAQ: https://deaderpool-mccc.com/faq.html#gq3 Otherwise, for Discord issues, you'd need to google your issue and see what others have done to work-around it when they have the same issue. I'm afraid I don't know anything more about it than most folks. I'm just a user of the tool, as well. :)

I found mcc missing in my game, mods are on. Looked here for an answer and discovered that a new version had already appeared. Closed the game to install the latest version of mcc and my game updated again - only an hour after the last patch update. Thanks for the quick work.

People coming here and saying "it isn't working for me" doesn't do any good. I can't do anything until people go through the proper channels to ensure I get the error information I need, if it's even my error. Since a large number of mods were broken today, issues people are seeing could come from those or people not re-enabling mods or people not correctly installing this version of the mod and still trying to use the old version...etc. Go to support. Report the issue. Work through the analysis with the support team. If they determine it's a MCCC issue, they'll let me know. I've already had one LE brought-up on Discord that is on the "Known Issues" on the post. I do fix things if they are actually something wrong with MCCC. "It doesn't work for me" doesn't help me with that.

The career script having errors is from the previous version of MCCC. That's one of the things I fixed. "type object 'BodyType' has no attribute 'MASCARA'".

This is the update for the new expansion. If you check the compatibility section on the post, it lists the current version of Sims 4 as well as the expansion. I always try to update that information on the main post so anyone can check, as needed.

I am unable to talk in the MCCC support channel, or any other channel for support, sadly.

I just tested it. It works fine with only MCCC so I am guessing it's another mod or cc. Only way to know for sure is to take it to one of the support Discord channels that I provide in the release post for getting help with things as we don't do support here.

"More CAS Columns" has been updated, if you hadn't found that out yet. There is a version for Tuesday's update. I installed it and it fixed the issue I had where my game would lock-up going into CAS.

I'm not responsible for any of those mods so I don't know if they've been updated or not. I have only updated MCCC so it works with the update. You'd have to go to the Patreons of other developers or to Discord to find out about others.

I wanna say that all but the venue, g@ng, eco hack, g@mbling and alc have been. :) ( I tried to make it a little more PG friendly just incase those words aren't allowed on here)

Hey, hope this helps but I've seen multiple posts now of this happening to people with no mods. The problem seems to be more an EA situation than a modding situation.

I'm using the most recent version and it's the only mod that I have. It's since the new Sims 4 Update.

Lots of other mods are still broken. The support Discord server maintains a list of known mods that are working on the #mod-news channel.

wickedwhims- has not been patched, recent update was 7/15 for wicked whims, its playable but it will "show script error" he is working on it tho. Secondly Lumpinou- she is aware of the issues, and has fixes but is running tests. before releasing the update- per her patreon post yesterday.

Also if your “using curseforge” regarding the “up to date version of Mc command - it’s not. I was as well- but once I deleted it off curseforge and manually downloaded the link from his partreon here- which - that worked and the Mc command options showed up for me! Hope that helps

Since this last fix I am no longer able to apply skills individually. It grays out where I would enter the number. Still works fine if I apply all skills or random skills. Can you pls check this out? Thanks. Love MCCC. Wouldn’t play the game without you!

If you're having problems, you should go to one of the support channels I list in the release post. We don't do support here. MCCC has been up-and-running with yesterday's Sims 4 update since about an hour after the update.

CF has 2024.4.0. The hotfix for yesterday's update is 2024.5.1. It's at the bottom of this post above or from the other locations.

That means you've not downloaded/installed 2024.5.1 correctly, because that's the first thing I fixed with this version.
