Falling in Love with Autumn

They have a reserved lushness like a distracted beach or an absentee forest.
The colors of gold and bronze and silver dominate in the autumn,
treasures that were stored up in greener times.
Oceans have their deep song and forests their slow dance,
but the desert always rhymes best.

Thanks. :) Rattlers are generally polite enough to warn you, so a good set of boots is enough generally to keep you safe from accidents. I grew up in an area very much like this. :)
