September Updates: Moar gaems

Hey everyone, been a while since my last updates.

A quick one in case for those who missed it, I have further fixed and updated the game [Spybreak], check it out here.

Now on with the updates:

Games

I have a lot of news regarding the projects I've been working on slowly.


Pearly-Salon

For those who have been waiting news for Pearly-Salon tho, I have made a

separate post about it, contain some sweet WiPs


Anyways, between the time Im working on Pearly-Salon, I sometimes took a break and experiment with two smaller games:




[The Bold Knight] (title pending)

one is a very simple dungeon crawler game of sorts, the basic goal in this game is to reach the goal and avoid most enemies, or you lose and get a unique gameover scenes depends on which monster got you.


Im trying to experiment some kinda features that I may not use for Pearly-Salon but for another major game I'm still conceptualizing. From the screencaps above, I'm testing the "health" UI and the persistent character portrait which is kinda an Hrpgm-game staple.


[Tomboy GF] (pending, Im not creative with titles)

The character concept art above is the only thing I got to show for this other game, which will be more of a adv game /visual novel.


Basically you, the protagonist will support the tomboy, who starts as just a (childhood) friend to go workout and participate a certain sport of your choice, which will affect her appearance and character throughout the story.

Comics

I'm still working on [3 Smooth Dates], a lil slower than I wanted but I hope to get it done before the year's end.

I may not do another comic after that to focus on the other stuffs, altho I'm not opposed to writing or planning it, just can't bear to do long comics solo again.

Arts/Commishes

As of now, Im working on 4 or 5 commissions on my backlog (some Im not sure if I would post, which I hope to complete them all within this month, that will be my main priority since I should clear up some space for newer commishes

I should also revise my commission rates coz I felt my old price list is somewhat obsolete and unclear.


Else

Yes I have been overwhelming myself with a lot of these works, both mentally and physically.

But the problem with ME is that I get distracted a lot and when I like an idea, I wanna do it, and switch between projects a lot depending on my mood or if Im physically able.

Its as if, I need to be in a certain mindset to lock on some projects, like if Im in the comic mood, I'll continue the comic and if i'm in the game dev mood, I'll continue the games.

I hate myself for it sometimes, but I do enjoy a lot of things that I do, I just wish I got the youthful energy I once had (as well as the back of my youth).


So for the sake of my health, I may try to slow down a bit this month, but there will be updates, just gonna rest more frequent to catch up with lost sleep.

Bold knight idea can result in a pretty fun game, specially for the diferent endings. And the tomboy story... very promising. And don't worry too much for doing the projects at the moment you want to do them. I think both comics and games would be better like this.
