Squash test results
Added 2023-09-04 19:42:21 +0000 UTCWhhhhhhhaaaaat this is NOT what we expected!!! Remember a few posts ago when I said we were gonna test sanitizing cut squash with 1) bleach, 2) 99% alcohol, 3) a “control” with nothing, and 4) diluted bleach? THE CONTROL IS THE ONLY ONE THAT DIDN’T GET SUPER MOLDY

Anyways, I think we might want to do another small scale test before we can actually buy pumpkins so we’ll have another update soon hopefully! -K

Idea (maybe for next year): Maybe the pumpkin’s natural immunity is best, so you should try to keep the pumpkin alive as long as possible instead.

2023-09-07 07:45:06 +0000 UTCI still think freeze-drying is the only way to go. If you can't get Harvest Right to sponsor you, maybe you can come up with a hack using your vacuum chamber and dry ice (or something) to DIY.
