But on the other hand, you really have to give up control over how you envision your final piece! Which is difficult for me, as a perfectionist…
For my piece I thought I’d start with something really simple - an alien face! It’s really hard to make precise cuts with the glass cutter so I filed down all my hard edges into curves (in retrospect I should have busted out the glass grinder from our stained glass kit - but in the moment I thought the file would be easier!)
I thought the melting process would smooth out a lot of my imperfections… which it DID to a degree, but not as much as I thought haha
So he’s a little derpy but also I kinda love him -Katelyn
