Design mockup for the mini arcade
Added 2020-05-05 14:52:04 +0000 UTCSo after considering resin, vinyl, and all sorts of ways to add a cool design to our mini arcade, we actually settled on hand painting it. Thinking of themes we thought something space-y would be fun, but as we were browsing inspiration we found this donut sprinkly pattern and immediately thought "Majestic Space Donut" (which you might remember is a name we called our Black Hole Resin table from a few months ago). It's random but we kinda loved the idea, so I grabbed Evan's 3D model and did a quick mockup of what it might look like. Oh yeah, and we're definitely keeping the cat ears - they have nothing to do with arcades, donuts, or space but they're just cute πΈ
Another reason we chose the space theme is because we wanted to incorporate LEDs that will be controlled by one of the arcade buttons, and we knew with a space theme we could incorporate little pin prick holes that let the light through and looked like stars.

So who gets to use it? Now if you had an Android phone you could have installed an emulator to play classic arcade games.
