Removing NSFW Features Shortly (READ THE ENTIRE POST)

Hey everyone, Melmsie here to bring you both a bit of a question and a bit of an update on an issue we're facing right now.

The short question is, would you stay a Patron if there was no NSFW content?

We've recently discovered our source of NSFW content is not above board and we're not at all interested in continuing to serve it for both legal and moral reasons. We plan on very shortly terminating using the API, which will, in turn, terminate the commands some of you have pledged for. This will happen in our next small update, coming shortly before the end of the month.

Without going into too much detail, it's recently been discovered that the popular API we used for these was scraping these images without licensing or permission from the people posting them.

This is not alright with us in any way. Without paying a MASSIVE amount of money to some major company, we are forced to remove most (all?) of our NSFW commands in the coming weeks to not support this under-the-table content.

So my question lies here again: Would you terminate your Patreon subscription if we removed this?

We're trying to get a gauge of how much of our runway we'll lose from doing this before we do it, not because we might NOT do it, but because if it's a significant amount, we're going to have to start slashing our budget somewhere rather than start losing money. Even with our large userbase, a relatively tiny portion of you are patrons so lost income is going to start immediately eating into our business.

We understand a lot of you used this bot for this content, but we simply cannot support these shady content sources after finding out about them, and we cannot even get close to affording to secure our own licensing for this content.
