Animals like wolves that live in packs are typically called "pack hunters". Bison, pronghorn, and caribou would be considered "herd animals". I don't think they're called "packs" if they're not involved in cooperative hunting. Also, I know you were discounting tapir in that previous comment, but I wanted to share the fun fact that tapir tend to be solitary, so they're just... all around not a good animal to try domesticating because they have little sense of group cohesion. I have no idea what the Mormons are thinking with saying the horses were actually tapir as if those animals do remotely similar things socially or with humans.

Even with feral furries it's still all art, animations, or people acting, and there's human-like intelligence and consent implied. Not saying that absolutely no furries are into that stuff too, just that it's not a part of the fandom in particular.
