I just looked it up and apparently it's a reference to the "Jif" peanut butter commercials, but that just makes me want to use the hard "g" more, because that corny corpo shit can go fuck itself. If he just said "Because I think it sounds nicer" it probably wouldn't change the way I typically read it, but I would respect it.

The evidence presented showed it was obvious that Heard was lying, going so far as to doctor photos to make it appear as if she was bruised when she was not. Depp seems like a troubled individual, but there is more evidence that he was the victim of DV in that relationship than the abuser. I am a staunch feminist, and part of that fight for equality means we need to support victims of domestic violence whether they men or women. *Edited to say I really like Cara and I don't think she said this maliciously, but it did make me uncomfortable.
