Another pic that started with a reference photo. I thought it would be nice to draw Twin Moons for this one. I debated on the guy, potentially doing a crossover with another comic, but in the end I thought I'd use the sheriff that Darlene was daydreaming about waaaay back in issue 1 of Double D Ranch. And since I decided on not doing a crossover it made sense for this one to be a canon pin-up.
I experimented some with the shading style on this one. One of the neat things you can do in Clip Studio is to set a layer (in this case the shadows) to a pattern like halftone dots, crosshatching, or in this case, lines. I felt like it gave a vibe similar to how I used to do shading back in the early days of the Double D (and even early Book Club) comics.
I also experimented with a more desaturated look you can see on the last three versions.
