Twin Moons and the Sheriff [Canon]

Another pic that started with a reference photo. I thought it would be nice to draw Twin Moons for this one. I debated on the guy, potentially doing a crossover with another comic, but in the end I thought I'd use the sheriff that Darlene was daydreaming about waaaay back in issue 1 of Double D Ranch. And since I decided on not doing a crossover it made sense for this one to be a canon pin-up.

I experimented some with the shading style on this one. One of the neat things you can do in Clip Studio is to set a layer (in this case the shadows) to a pattern like halftone dots, crosshatching, or in this case, lines. I felt like it gave a vibe similar to how I used to do shading back in the early days of the Double D (and even early Book Club) comics.

I also experimented with a more desaturated look you can see on the last three versions.

EDIT - Added zip file for alternates

Now that you say it, it looks a lot like how your art looked in the past, like 2015 going back. But it still hold the modern things you do nowdays. This colors are more flat versus say the Livvy one from the other day. I loved how you did the shading for her boobs. The colors were very realistic. I legit been enjoying all of this. It would be fun for you to have periods like this when you decide to go back to comics. Like a week a month, no comics, and just freestyle it to your wishes.
