Updates still delayed

Unfortunately, I'm still not going to be able to get pages out this week. I'm starting to feel better, and I'm slowly working my way back into working on stuff, but comics take a lot of time and advanced prep work so they won't be ready for this week.

Just a quick break down of what's been going on for those who are curious. This all started off with me developing a stiffness in my neck/shoulder area. That continued to get worse over the course of a couple of days. Still not sure exactly what caused it, but that put me completely out of commission for the better part of a week as I tried to rest and recover on that. As soon as that started to feel good enough to where I maybe could get back to drawing, I developed a severe sinus/congestion problem and I just felt miserable.

For those of you unfamiliar with my process, I tend to try to work on comic pages the week before they actually get released. I tend to work on pencils for all three pages in a batch over the course of a day or two. Then it takes me 2-3 days to get the inks done. I send them off to JoeMangini to do flats. And I get those back and I do shading for all three pages generally all in one day. So it's a 4-5 day process usually, all together. Usually leaving me with one or two days to do other things each week (pin-ups, sketches, etc, whatever the other monthly rewards may be for that month). And I always make sure to take Sundays off. So overall, its a pretty good routine, and it's generally flexible enough to where if I may have to miss a day or two here and there throughout the month I can make it up and you guys don't ever get a break in the standard flow of content. But clearly a week or two is too much to overcome without there being an interruption.

take the time you need to recover. your personal health is more important than the drawings.

Would a thousand percent recommend seeing a physio, not sure where you’re from but when I used to get tense in the areas you’re tense in a physio trip or two really helped me! Hope you feel better soon boss man

Sounds like stress from drawing. I'm no doctor, but maybe the sinus issue is related from past infection?

BJakin

Maybe deep tissue massage or a physical therapist? It sounds like a repetitive stress motion injury from drawing

Hope you get well soon, man

Hmm, stiffness in the neck shoulder. Have you tried a chiropractor?
