Download the entire beneos_assets (containing EVERYTHING) folder, OR only the folders you need and put it in FoundryVTT_Installation \ data \ directory, or directly into your Asset Library (if you use a hosting service like THE FORGE. The beneos-module will do the rest for you =)

The correct folder structure is:

• Foundry Installation Directory \ data \ beneos_assets \ beneos_items \ all item folders
• Foundry Installation Directory \ data \ beneos_assets \ beneos_spells\ all spell folders

DON'T FORGET: You must unpack (unzip) all folders so that the Beneos Module can work with them.

All Beneos spells and item cards are available not only in FoundryVTT but can also be downloaded as a print template, allowing you to hand them out to your players at the table on-site.

Can I use Beneos assets (battle maps, tokens, spells, items, ...) in my monetized streams and videos?

• Yes, this is not a problem as long as I have not expressly objected to this myself. But there are of course some rules to keep things fair. You must give us credit in the form of a shoutout in the stream and a note in the video description (if available). I would be happy if you would write to me in any case so that I can see in which cool adventures Beneos content is used.

Have you made all the tokens for Curse of Strahd?

• With Beneos Battlemaps we have created a lot of content for this module. With Beneos Tokens, Spells and Items, we have also released some content that can be used in this (or other Gothic horror adventures, but by far not everything. Here you will find Werewolves, Vampire Spawns, Night Hags, Spiders, Gargoyles, Beucephalus, Amber Golems, and some others.

Are Beneos tokens compatible with my VTT (Virtual Tabletop)?

• Most probably yes! Although we have specialized in FoundryVTT with our specially programmed module, almost all VTTs can display the tokens. The important thing is that the VTT must support .webm files in the latest form (VP9). Roll20, or Alchemy RPG offer this. Since the Unity Engine has so far failed to support the latest VP9 format, all unity VTTs such as Fantasy Ground and Arkenforge are not able to display transparent webm files yet.

Are you looking for helping hands?

• YES! Short answer. If you are familiar with the Unreal Engine, have experience in Foundry VTT module coding, or are an efficient and talented character modeler (Blender, Maya, 3dsmax etc.), or are confident to build fantasy worlds with the Unreal Engine 5 for a worldwide community of roleplaying game enthusiasts, write to us! =)

Why do I need so many Foundry VTT modules?

• Don't worry, you don't have to deal with all the modules. We do everything in advance - so you don't need to do anything. But for our content to reach you in its best form, it needs access to these modules. We could program everything directly into the Beneos Module, but why reinvent the wheel? We'd rather use that time for creating great content.

I am looking for Token / battle map XYZ, are you open for commissions?

• Unfortunately not! We produce so much unique content that we have absolutely no capacity to work on exclusive content in between. But you can always write us what you are looking for, and we will definitely consider it!

Can I get the 3D models (Beneos Tokens) or 3D worlds (Beneos Battlemaps)? I would like to make XYZ with them for my own game.

• Unfortunately, this is not possible. We cannot release any source files for licensing reasons. Neither for 3D printing, nor VR tests.

"THE FORGE" HOSTING SERVICE RELATED

The forge is a game hoster for Foundry VTT. If you are using the Forge please read the FAQ in advance.

Do you support The Forge?

• In principle, yes. However, we are not partnered with or working directly with The Forge. This means we can't provide direct support for The Forge-related questions and issues. But we do our best to support hosting platforms as well as possible. The points listed here are best practices to consider when working with The Forge, to make troubleshooting easier for you. They are gathered from other users' experiences and align with our own.

Can't install the Beneos Module?

• Are you sure your world and FoundryVTT installation on The Forge are the right version? When setting up a new Foundry, the version often starts out old. Make sure you have the version currently supported by Beneos Tokens, Spells & Items (usually the latest) at the bottom of https://forge-vtt.com/setup.

Having trouble uploading data, or it seems like data is missing?

• Are you sure The Forge has uploaded ALL(!) the data correctly? When dragging and dropping the beneos_assets folder into the Asset Library, The Forge tends not to upload all files correctly. It seems there is a maximum number of files defined per folder, and anything beyond this number isn't uploaded, even though you get a green success message.

How do I best upload Beneos content to The Forge?

• It's been found useful to manually create the main folders for Beneos content in the Asset Library just once. Directly in the Asset Library, click "New Folder" on the left side and name it "beneos_asssets". In the new beneos_asssets folder, create the following folders in the same way: beneos_items, beneos_spells, and beneos_tokens. Then you can collectively upload all item folders into beneos_items and do the same with all spell folders in beneos_spells. The same works for beneos_tokens. We recommend manually creating the main folders and sequentially uploading the provided zip files into these folders. The Forge will ask if you want to unzip the files before uploading, say yes, otherwise, the raw zip files will be uploaded, which the Beneos Module cannot work with.

How long does it take for the Beneos Module to read on The Forge?

• Unfortunately, The Forge limits the number of allowed user actions. That means only 2-3 actions can be performed per second. This means that the Beneos Module reading process can take up to 5 minutes, not just 30 seconds. To see that something is happening, you can press F12 in Foundry. If the number under "info" on the left side in "console" slowly increases, the Beneos Module is still working. Please do not close the window or reload it with F5. We have no control over The Forge's performance. This can even trigger a Forge warning "foundry.js:68326 Forge API rate monitor warning: assets/browse on the Forge API has been called continuously for 5 consecutive minutes. Excessive calls may affect performance." You can ignore this, as nothing faulty is happening, the Beneos Module is just working to make all assets available.
