Bannock's Guide to the Monsters of Mejina
Crusader
Man, this poor Moeuvra. Well, I'm told actually that this ISN'T a Moeuvra, but some kind of ancestor species. Which is kinda horrifying when I think about that for any amount of time, so I'm just not gonna.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but I just need to get across how HUGE these things are. They're like nearly twice the size of a regular Moeuvra, and ten times as strong. Those weapons aren't just for show either, any one of those can kill a person stone dead.
They can charge at you and pick you up of course, and they're fast when they wanna be. But all those extra arms are deadly, too; the drill and the... gun I think it was called? Can pierce most armour below Calamite. The shears have a Grip check of at least 90, and that flail has a total reach of 15 metres. Fuckin accurate too, I have no idea how they aim so well.
The glowing round arm spits flames whenever and wherever they like. It's a cruel weapon, and in my personal opinion, whoever thought it up should be dragged out into the street and beaten to death. Folks deserve a clean death, not being roasted alive.
Their deadliest weapon, though, is that bladed tail they got. Nobody ever sees it coming; all it takes is a quick half step and your head is coming right off.
There's no point in trying to reason with a Crusader. They understand Cellan well enough, or so I'm told, but they only speak in grunting noises and they're HELLA violent.
If you're an experienced Guildie and you've got a good dozen Monument delves under your belt, you're probably qualified to take one of these things on. Otherwise? Get the hell outta there before you're mincemeat.
Stahl's Notes:
Their name is accurate. These creatures, if we can even call such a mechanical being a "creature", come from the monument.
Their purpose is to purge anything that goes against their Master's will but we don't know who, or what their master is. They have a bizarrely religious obsession with kidnapping people and keeping them in small crowded rooms, waiting for some sort of creator that won't return.
We don't understand their motivations outside of what we'd learned from one, single benign Crusader that unfortunately was destroyed by the other crusaders that believed it had betrayed them. But what we do know is that 'Bairadt', a great Moevra god supposedly caused these entities to be made, and they collect things in his name.
On a special Note, while these creatures are violent in the extreme and dangerous to be around. They will actually often choose to protect the average adventurer if certain other creatures are nearby, such as Rooks, Abraq, Corrupts or the creature Known as Tigerlily.
