Bannock's Guide to the Monsters of Mejina
Festerwort
Man these things stink something fierce. They're named after the plant they love eating the most, which is stupid in my opinion. Festerworts eat Festerwort because Festerwort is the Festerwort's favourite food. It sounds ridiculous, right? Like saying bowl a buncha times.
So Festerworts are a mushroom creature about the size of a small child. They're omnivorous, but they mainly eat bushes and tree leaves, so they're a real pest for Farmers. One can de-leaf an entire tree in three hours, and a dozen can do the same to an entire forest in the same time. Those teeth are sharp, too, and they have strong jaws, so they can cut you up or break your finger.
They cast a-- well, it's not really a spell? But they use something called Gleba, it's kinda like casting Gunge. Except it always smells like schute chowder, and it's way stickier.
These things are more of a nuisance animal than a threat, but you'll be dealing with them plenty if you're working with Farmers, so it makes sense to include them.
Stahl's Notes:
I miss my mother's schute chowder.
I have no other comment, I hate these things.
