Two Things: 1] The locker camera feed from camera 2 switch was done right in front of the viewer. Like all good illusions, they used distractions. McGee almost gets hit by a car. Tony sees the feed from camera two is flickering. Greywolf says: "Why's the monitor flickering." Tony "fixes" is, but that is just the override transmitter connecting with the NCIS receiver. After the Opening Credits, Gibbs exits the head. Gibbs says "If you care, DiNozzo, nobody came to the storage locker." Tony turns to Gibbs and shows his racoon eyes. Gibbs and Ziva leave and the murder happens. Viewers thinks the murder is a distraction, but the heist already happened. Distraction complete. 2] There was a strike, Writers Guild I think, that cut all US TV seasons to be short. Also, last episode this season, number 18, is a self-contained two-parter. In other words, it is about 1 hour 30 minutes long.
