Yeah, no. We know that's not true.. about clawing her way up.. Deb-now she's the one who clawed her way up. Maria is only there because of politics (similar to nepotism). Deb is actually good.

2025-05-18 00:58:06 +0000 UTCThe thing with Laguerta is she annoying and she is a very decisive character, but I think a lot of people miss that her antagonising Deb is down to the fact Laguerta thinks Deb is only there because of nepotism. Harry was a much loved cop and Captain Matthews is a family friend. Whereas Laguerta probably had to claw her way through the "old boys club" and learn how to play the game. Her ambition is annoying and blinds her to a lot of things, but she was humbled in this episode.
