WIP Archaon The Everchosed - Color Analyze and explanations

Hey everyone, some of you might seen my work in progress already, but I wanted to share more detailed analyze with our students so here it is. :)

As you can see, I have separated tones of my underpainting for this piece. As you know that the Archaon's mount is very pale and peachy, this colder emerald/purple tones fits perfectly to this model focal point. Therefore emerald and purple are my main tones of underpainting. And for accent tone I went with orange. It accent his tiny but menacing helmet, bringing color composition closer overall (but I will talk more on this topic when I finish with painting this project)

I also separated some of the tonal values of light, middle & darks of Dark metal showing you variations of colors that overlaid my underpainting. Of course all of these details will be more worked on and refined.

There are some of the 50+ shades of light metal displayed as well.
