Arcane Tier List Character Ranking

Happy Friday! Here is a little video where we rank the characters of Arcane from favorite to least favorite. BTW: This video is also available to all paid Patreon member tiers!

Amazing list! I also have Silco as my favorite character. There's always something about a complex multi layered character that just gets me. I agree his absence was felt in season 2... although i loved how the season made the aftermath of his death really impactful to the city of Zaun and ofcourse, Jinx. I loved how in season 2 you also see how maybe Jinx and Silco together wasnt the problem. It wasnt pretty or perfect but what relationships are. The scene where Silco goes and talks to Vander and essentially says that he gets it now. Daughters am i right????? SO PERFECT TO ME. The parallel of their relationship and the relationship of the sisters was masterfully done in my opinion. Ekko should be A tier... thats my only gripe. lol Man had everything he ever wanted and give it up. Living up to the name THE BOY SAVIOUR.

Gknow G

lol also a good example of practically a simple character at his core, but made a huge impact when he was on screen.

Courtney said me putting Echo in B was diabolical 🤣

Ekko carried the entire undercity on his back and sheltered the orphans when Vander was gone. I rest my case

I’ll add it to the poll list as well!

Y’all should react to Invincible

Thanks for the video Lia and your thoughts. Kind of cool to see how you ranked characters and your opinions. I've only seen a few character tier list from Arcane. I think no matter, media is subjective at the end of the day and every consumes entertainment differently. Along with having different perspectives based off your own experiences. One character might not have had much impact for me vs. Somebody else. And I do think it's hard to define terms and do people bring their own biases also? If this makes sense, I personally think Silco gets liked by fandom too easily. First issue is that I'm letting outside thoughts skew my view on a characters. But I also can't deny he is a great antagonist. What about likeable character? How are you defining “likeable?” do we not like a character because they are smug, downright evil, or etc. Thus do they fall down the totem pole of tiers? And sometimes characters need to start off poorly, there's a really great video essay about how Dave Filano of Star Wars wrote Ashoka as a dislikeable character from the beginning in clone wars. For majority of the first couple seasons people hate her and dislike her, but he did this on purpose. He wrote her with all the flaws, so that over the years he could write a good character that grew and learned, and today is one of the most beloved Star War characters. Kind of long post here so I apologize. I will say I was disappointed in the end with Ambessa's character. And that may be skewed because I know the lore, universe and world. She started off strong, but I found her final plan weak and her character as a whole, a very week showing of how dangerous anybody from Noxus is. And maybe that’s the point, she’s too hubris and that's her pitfall. Anyways, thanks for your tier list and thoughts. Is Molly going to have a V tier? For “Viktor being number 1#?” Lol And to be technical, Heimdienger goes back to his “homeland which is Bandle City.” It's where all Yordles originate from and technically in a different dimension, but it allows Yordles to traverse the world of Runeterra quickly because it has little portals across the land only Yordles can access due to their size. Yordles are technically “immortal spirits” so they just respawn back home if they die. On the last part, if y'all play league, can I call Molly a nerd now? :p. Jk just. Honestly I really wouldn't recommend it, BUT you 3 can play together which might make it a tad bit more enjoyable (the actual game of league itself is basically two teams of 5v5 on one map. So if you 3 play together, you will only have to deal with 2 other humans who could be toxic. You also can play ai matches to learn, or just find two more people so you can queue with 5 people total and no random humans who could be toxic.) I would only play if you have friends because the community is quite toxic overall and to New players. And the game does not look anything like the cinematics. But they put immense amount of effort into their videos. Their season cinematics, they spend 3-9 months on a 3-5 minute cinematic just to hype up the community for the new season. And even over the years non-league players react to them because of how beautiful they are. And be aware Riot Games is a multi-game developer, so they have other games they have created that are all set in the world of Runeterra that can be good entry points if you really wanted to just dive deep on your own time if any of you game at all. If you wanted to see gameplay for a reaction or your own time, I can send a good few recommendations. But very last note, really kind of once you enter down league fandom, there’s no return…lol. Unless you decide to just stop eventually. There's music videos, cinematics, worlds, voice lines, etc. And many reactors who kind of start their journey, say they are kind of afraid of possible spoilers for later. And I can't speak for any of you 3, but many of them were glad they dove into the world because it just excites them more for what is to come. One it gives you ton of content but two, there’s a reason why the league fandom is huge and popular. League/Riot may not be as old as DC/Marvel, but the world they have created and the characters, are so intricate, complicated, beautiful, etc. Arcane season 2 has flaws, I'm hoping Riot learns from their mistakes on their next series. I think all stories and characters can eventually become dull and diluted, but at least for league characters and world, I think we have 10-40 years before that happens because of how long it takes to make a series. You’ll see this along your journey, but at it's core, much of leagues stories and characters are about duality and families. In many ways it's cliché, but it just damn works with the world and IP they've cultivated.

I second this!

Light Yagami

Hi Trish, yes we do! We are going to be finishing The Boys but once done with those few episodes, we will do a poll on here of everyone's recommendations and I can definitely add Severance to the list. However, I have unfortunately already watched it on my own time and am all caught and it's honestly so freaking good! So, if we do react to it, I will have already seen it but Molly and Courtney have not, just a heads up. Also, The Last of Us Season 2 will be coming out in April I think, so we will be reacting to that as well. - Lia

Question: Do you guys have a show that’s replacing Arcane? If you’re taking new suggestions I highly recommend reacting to “Severance”.
