Is there any place where I can place down my requests? (I ordered the “your wish is my command”) patron

2023-11-20 00:31:35 +0000 UTCI'd defiantly say watch the show it is a really good series that builds as it goes on and none of the characters are fully flushed out right away you get to watch them grow and fall seeing how they learn to be the best they can be as the show progresses. and yes the show has villain's some are ok others are down right nasty which makes them the best. as for good songs I'd recommend the smile song, music in the tree tops (all parts if you can find them as 1 video), and the magic inside.

2023-11-18 22:37:54 +0000 UTCIt's odd to know someone's reacted to at least 16 pony songs and still only heard two of my top ten (Flawless and Winter Wrap Up) I definitely still vote for the song "Unleash the Magic." There's also "Open Up Your Eyes", which is a classic from the movies. For now, if you're thinking of starting MLP go watch the fanmade Lullaby For A Princess and The Moon Rises, they're pieces that relate to one another and set the backdrop for the show. They'll give you a good idea of what to expect from pony, and help to answer some questions you otherwise won't have answers to for about 4 seasons. Last recommendation: "Gonna be my day" it's from the latest generation (G5) but it's still a really good song.

2023-11-18 22:20:19 +0000 UTCYeah, it had some good ideas and catchy songs, but it certainly didn't age well. Also, there was the controversy from way back.

2023-11-18 20:37:17 +0000 UTCI love how no one really tries to get new reactors to see FiW itself, just the songs, and things with Sweetiebot

2023-11-18 20:35:49 +0000 UTCI'd actually hold off on This Day Aria since it's a major story beat of the Season 2 Finale, if you care about serious spoilers that change the fundamental experience of the episode. I'll admit, though, that it's a seriously good song with some really good storytelling if you're familiar with music production. It's a very clever song.

2023-11-18 18:11:46 +0000 UTCThere's a fan animation about a fan song about a character from a fanmade parody series, so I might recommend Destabilize SFM after you get more comfortable with the show and it's themes.

2023-11-18 18:08:35 +0000 UTCWhile season 1 is in the lower half, I'd rank seasons 3 and 8 as before it. 3 for having a series of mediocre to bad eps, 8 for the clumsy addition of the new plotline and several eps that just, didn't handle the characters well. 1 meanwhile is overall solid, just not as great as the show gets.

2023-11-18 13:28:44 +0000 UTCJust to add on to my last comment which was getting long, fans even became fans of several reoccurring background ponies, many of which actually got named by fans which became official with the company. Notable ones: Derpy, a gray pegasus pony with yellow mane and tail and bubbles as her cutie mark (that's what the butt markings are called, and they signify a pony's special talent) who often shows up all crosseyed, she's the ultimate easter egg to fans; Doctor Whooves, a brown male earth pony with darker brown mane and tail and an hourglass cutie mark, so named because he reminded fans of the 10th Doctor from Doctor Who; Lyra Heartstrings, a mint green unicorn with striped mint and white mane and tail and a harp cutie mark; Bon Bon, a cream earth pony with purple and pink mane and tail and candies as her cutie mark; Vinyl Scratch/DJ Pon3, a white unicorn with sunglasses and blue striped mane and tail with a music note cutie mark; and finally Octavia, a gray earth pony with darker gray mane and tail with a treble clef cutie mark. There are others, but those are the most popular background ponies.

2023-11-18 10:34:18 +0000 UTCTo answer some questions you've had: the 'midnight' pony is called Luna, and princesses are only ponies who combine all three types of pony into one, the magic of a unicorn, the wings of a pegasus, and the strength of an earth pony (the ones that don't have wings or horns). So wings + horn = princess. The show first started back in the 80s with Gen 1 (FIM is Gen 4), and they were made to sell toys, like many 80s cartoons. Plots were... Simple, if they existed at all. Things went downhill the next two Gens, but finally for Gen 4 the company that owns MLP began giving the writers more freedom. Season 1 is, I feel, the weakest season, but it's still miles and miles ahead of anything the show did before. Fans who would normally turn their noses up at a show like this found themselves being drawn in by excellent characterization and awesome story telling. Starting in season 2, they began giving the writers even more freedom (some of the show was clearly directed by the head company to sell toys, but the writers have been able to work with it when told 'Hey, put this in so we can sell toys'). Over time, the world and lore and stories and characters they build up have become, well... Magic.

2023-11-18 10:25:56 +0000 UTCI'd say as far as fan animations, Lullaby For a Princess and Moon Rises are kinda a 2-in-one, so to speak. The other major fan animation is Snowdrop, and that should also wait til after the premiere. As for great songs? I'll go a little extra and recommend one from each season, as well as the movie (not including Equestria Girls) Season 1 - Art of the Dress Season 2 - Smile Song Season 3 - Babs Seed Season 4 - Generosity Song (+ Reprise) Season 5 - The Magic Inside (Mane Attraction) Season 6 - The Seeds of the Past Season 7 - *I'll refrain! You've heard 2 of the best already, and the next best one is a massive spoiler!* Season 8 - We're Friendship Bound Season 9 - Lotta Little Things MLP 2017 Movie - Open Up Your Eyes There are some even better songs, but I've purposely chosen ones that aren't big spoilers, or at least show things you've already seen.

2023-11-18 01:47:51 +0000 UTCAbsolutely agree that it's best to wait till after the premier but EVERYONE who watches any of the show and enjoys it should see lullaby for a princess and the moon rises. The pmv cover of sorrowful regretful is also a really cool animation as well.

2023-11-18 01:29:24 +0000 UTCOh very much start the series! The premier is.. well it alone hooked a lot of people with how unexpectedly good it was. Season 1 as a whole isn't as epic as it gets, but it is just.. very sweet and wholesome and sincere while establishing the Mane characters and the world. If you want more music to check out, Open up Your Eyes from the Movie is a great villain song, and you MUST check out THE song, The Smile Song! On top of that, as noted, the fan content is enormous and a whole beast in and of itself... I'd wait till after the premier to understand the full context but at that point, check out the animations for Lullaby for a Princess and The Moon Rises. As to these songs, the only real note is that the first one, At The Gala, is Daniel Ingram doing a tribute to the Sondheim musical Into the Woods.

2023-11-18 01:16:15 +0000 UTCThere's a spinoff called Equestria Girls too - where they're all human. Some good songs from that are Under Our Spell and Friendship Through the Ages!

2023-11-17 03:06:33 +0000 UTCRarity (the popular pony) doesn't necessarily have lots of money. She does have money, but not an incredible amount until later. She runs a fashion brand. She works hard to build recognition from the ground up, but she feels she needs to maintain an image of sophistication and make connections, sometimes even at the expense of her fashion or friends. Which is why at the end the cat taps the drawn design and then rarity makes a halfhearted dress because she is too tired from maintaining that image to finish the dress she is working on.
