Missing Amazon UK PS5 orders to be investigated
BBC consumer issues show Watchdog is set to mount an investigation into reports from Amazon UK customers that their PS5 preorders went missing on delivery day - dozens of customers claim that they never received their consoles despite couriers marking their orders as delivered.
- Some customers have also reported receiving incorrect items instead of the PS5 consoles, like blenders and boxes of cat food. Affected customers are encouraged to get in contact with Watchdog, with the show confirming that they have already had an "amazing response."
Nintendo can print Kadabra Pokémon trading cards again
Illusionist Uri Geller has released his 20-year ban on the use of Kadabra in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and will be working closely with Nintendo to bring the card back into circulation.
- Geller sued Nintendo in the early 2000s over claims that Kadabra, called Yungeller in Japan, infringed on his image with the whole bending spoons thing. Geller has since apologised and changed his mind, citing the "tremendous volume of emails" he still gets from fans, and has rescinded the ban.
CD Projekt Red are happy with how Cyberpunk 2077 runs on PS4 and Xbox One
Studio president and join-CEO, Adam Kiciński, has told investors that the game runs "surprisingly good" on the base PS4 and Xbox One models - and confirmed that the recent three week delay did a lot to improve the game's performance on those base units.
- Of course, Kiciński says that base console performance is "a bit lower" than on upgraded models like the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, but CDPR are nonetheless happy with how the game is running. So there you go.
GreedFall is getting an expansion
Released last September, the fantasy RPG set in the cauldron of 17th Century colonialism has just topped 1m copies sold - and will be getting an expansion to celebrate, as well as new console ports for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- While there are no concrete details on the expansion just yet, we do know that Focus Home Interactive will publish "the upcoming additional content and expansion", which means we could be seeing additional DLC alongside the expansion.
Nintendo's Osaka theme park will open in February 2021
Super Nintendo World was originally supposed to open this summer before plans were derailed by the pandemic, but a recent press event confirmed the new opening date alongside some new park details - like a Mario Kart AR attraction.
- It was also confirmed that the long-rumoured Donkey Kong area is already under construction and should open soon enough. Once the Japanese park is up and running, Super Nintendo World should be headed to Universal Studios Orlando, Hollywood, and Singapore.
