Just wanted to give you an update. This week has been shit, planning/time wise and next week will too. We’re having the (more or less) first and probably last days of really great summer weather and next week is the last of my sons summer break so I’ll have to prioritize time with him before he goes back to school.
I’ll record a breakdown of the ”Beige traditional” plaid tonight, but I know that I’m falling behind with videos currently. I’ll catch it up.
Some good news in the topic however is that I’m finally getting help with planning, scheduling and following up my tasks, by a ”secretary” of sorts. She will help us out with both Patreon content and client work planning which takes a huge load off my chest and allows me to be a lot more reliable since I myself cannot handle planning or schedule at all. ”I can walk but I can’t tie my shoes”.
Thanks to her help we’ll be able to produce content more reliably since we’ll have a static schedule of time set off specifically for Patreon. I’m excited about it and this is something I would recommend every freelancer. If you aren’t structured enough, which most creators aren’t, get help with planning, emails and all that administrative work. It’ll pay off in the end. I’ve lost maybe 7 out of 10 potential gigs because I didn’t follow them up properly in time and my days have been a total mess schedule wise.
In the meantime, I can really recommend this book, ”Deep work” by Cal Newport.
