What to prioritize?
Added 2020-06-17 00:24:33 +0000 UTCHey guys.
It's half way through the month already and I've got a whole bunch of videos to record starting tomorrow.
I have three projects I want to do and I want you to help me prioritize.
1. Extensive interior scene of a Kiev apartment, collab wieh texture.supply
2. Exterior image (fairly simple) I spires by Simon Stålenhag.
3. An action shot of a person jumping with a dirtbike, would involve some modeling, clothes in marvelous, exterior environment and maybe some creative lighting.
I'm really inspired by #3 because there are so many new elements there.

Is it possible to have videos about all the new and not so new functions of Fstorm? For example : geopattern, matte projection, proxy, fstorm distance node. I don't even know if i am using them correctly, i am just trying and guessing and it's sometimes frustrating to know that i don't have the right/accurate practice/workflow. You can name those videos, good practice in 3D/Fstorm, like you did with the anisotropy thing, or the wood shader, wall shader, Fstorm projection. Those single subject videos are so helpful :) Then i wish you would talk about some plug-ins : ornatrix, Forest Pack.. Don't overcomplicate things, there are so much subject i wish you could put on video tutorial. I dig out some lists that were once super exciting to look forward to. Some subject have been covered, other i wish we can still see soon : Personally i wish : geopattern, ornatrix, lens effect/distortion/chromatic-abb, tyflow, balancing tone mapping with LUTs (this is your strong point imo), distance node+proxy+workflowtips, exterior scene (megascans?) :)) Thanx JoJo ! March 28 Let's make a little roadmap. Since I should start taking Patreon a lot more seriously going forward, some kind of schedule to stick to is helpful. From now on my intent is to release at least one video a week. My thougts are as follows: -Bmw in studio, will be at least two more videos, one coming tomorrow. -The plaid in my "Beige traditional" covered in full. -Kitchen "Roy Anderson" style breakdown, 1 video. -Some tips & Tricks, forest pack and geopattern among other things. -Continuing the "Copycat" video series (video 4 upcoming) and I also thought that I'll make that into a nice animation, that way I'll get to cover animation as well. -Photogrammetry, two different techniques from start to finish. This will probably be at least 4 full length videos. -HDRI Photography and editing Sep 15 Recreate one of Ash Thorp ‘’Awaken Akira’’ (Lens and Chromatic Aberration effects directly inside Fstorm) Sep 13 A preview of what’s coming up -Cinematic animation test + TyFlow and lens distortion. -Fabric -Camera composition -A great way of working with wood textures -The Concrete scene - Complete rebuild on video -Material presets + shader breakdowns ("materialism") -The relation between glossy/reflection/IOR. (Not really sure how to tackle that though) -Balancing tonemapping with LUT's -Some small workflow tips -Car rendering in studio -Car rendering with backplates -Veneer setup + scene breakdown -Exterior cabin + environment. From answering comments : Simulating a whole bed in Marvelous Designer from the « Copy Cat » project From patreon comment : Night lighting set up Realistic black leather

2020-06-18 10:18:56 +0000 UTCI would prefer #1 first, then #3 and #2. For me personally #1 is the most interesting. But that's just my opinion. :)

2020-06-18 10:00:06 +0000 UTCHi, thanks for the options. I vote for #1 but if you choose the third one my life will be just as fine anyway.
2020-06-18 08:14:57 +0000 UTCReplying to your comments individually in a bit
2020-06-18 07:55:16 +0000 UTCThank you so much guys. A lot of wishes and as you said, people are very different. Someone said just do them all, which I guess is a good approach. I'm starting woth 3 and 2 and will run those simultaneously. 1 will have to wait a little but I'm planning it with Martin already so we can start with that one pretty soon as well. I look forward to all of them, first video was recorded yesterday, second video being recorded today.
2020-06-18 07:54:34 +0000 UTC'Thank you' for your opinion. Just to clarify, a lot of people were very interested in the photogrammetry stuff, otherwise I would happily have kept that knowledge to myself, so you shouldn't speak for everyone else. Secondly, all projects in the list is indeed fstorm tutorials so your comment makes no sense anyway ;-)
2020-06-18 07:51:33 +0000 UTC1 is my job, so 1 is my priority
2020-06-18 03:17:02 +0000 UTCHi Johannes, It would be great to see all of these. I'm down and would be happy for all three. Would be nice for you to share an actual timeline/schedule for when you are thinking of making these available. Let us know! Thanks a ton!
2020-06-18 02:09:29 +0000 UTCFunny how split we are on this. I mainly do exteriors and have been hoping for #2 for a long time!
2020-06-17 23:42:59 +0000 UTCFstorm tutorials. Non of this self-indulgent photogrammetry stuff that non of us probably signed up for or are interested in.
2020-06-17 23:41:25 +0000 UTCI would like to see some exterior, we have seen the interiors already. Also I've been waiting sooo long for an exterior tutorial
2020-06-17 16:52:58 +0000 UTC1 - Also have another question that you may have covered. Ive seen you remote into another computer. I'm curious about that setup.
2020-06-17 16:09:51 +0000 UTC#1

2020-06-17 13:33:06 +0000 UTCI would go for 1, but any content is always welcomed.
2020-06-17 11:53:07 +0000 UTCDo all of them ;-) But if i have to choose #3
2020-06-17 11:51:58 +0000 UTCAll are really interesting! 3-1-2 is very good for me. Thanks!
2020-06-17 11:25:11 +0000 UTC#2 :) and VPN :)
2020-06-17 11:21:21 +0000 UTCA suggestion: a video about the throw on your current Patreon header image, looks really good with the SSS
Joep Swagemakers
2020-06-17 11:10:10 +0000 UTC#3 for me, I like to see what you do with this
Joep Swagemakers
2020-06-17 11:02:52 +0000 UTCEven though I REALLY wait for interior series - I would say - go with #3, thats gonna be awesome :)
2020-06-17 11:00:30 +0000 UTCI would most def go with #3. Viz.Guru already did so many perfect interitors with enough teaching on how to achieve great results. Let us enter new territory, NOW ;-)
2020-06-17 10:08:37 +0000 UTCHi, I earn my money with interiors. So I would like to see number 1
2020-06-17 09:46:01 +0000 UTCnumber 1
2020-06-17 09:06:21 +0000 UTC3
2020-06-17 08:23:24 +0000 UTC1,2,3 sounds perfect
2020-06-17 08:00:36 +0000 UTCDo what you want 🤣 every scene sounds great 🤗
2020-06-17 07:12:32 +0000 UTCJust do all 3! Easy. No but really. Personally I'm mostly interested in interiors, but all 3 of them sound really good. I'd be happy either way. Would probably be 1, 3, 2 for me :)
