Progress Report

Howdy, all!

So obviously, the main goal of our next update is to wrap up Tai's Route once and for all, but before I got stuck into that, I decided to knock a few things off my list in terms of technical work.  There's been a number of improvements big and small which will be detailed in the changelog when the build comes out, but the most notable addition right now is the completed gallery redesign. Yes, it's finally finished! Most of the work that was left was the individual pages for each character in the sprites gallery, however there's a few small tweaks to the menu as well.

Firstly, Adrian's name no longer displays as "You" both in the menu and the screen containing his sprites. Instead, it will display the last name you played as.

Here's what the new character pages look like. Not many surprises here, they're mostly consistent with the rest of the gallery with the main exception being a smaller font and vertically shrunken nameplate - this was because extra long player names would overflow the bounds of the nameplate when the same scale as the rest of the gallery was used, so we've opted for an adjusted design in the character sprites pages. Even though this issue only really affects the protagonist, we've made this design consistent across the rest of the characters as well. 

Another small change you might notice is the entry for Spencer... or should I say Apollo? The name used in the gallery will change at the same time as his name ingame and will stick thereafter. 

This was a pain in the ass to complete, but at long last, it's done. The gallery redesign is finished! It's not to say we won't make improvements or tweaks in the future, but in terms of design, this is what we intend to have for our 1.0 release and beyond. This also marks the first time in a long while that Sileo has one (relatively) consistent design language - and no Agency FB font anywhere to be seen! Thank goodness!

With all that done, my next task will be to write this final chapter... wish me luck!
