Progress Report

I've got a few updates for you all today, so let's get straight into it.

Starting with the screenshot, I can't show you new content because I don't want to spoil anything (and day 20 is full of spoilers!), but I can show you the new abandoned building background which replaces the stock image in the upcoming build. Isn't it pretty?

For more important news, I'm knee-deep in 20x2 at the moment, working hard to get it done as quickly as possible. Unlike 20x1 which is fairly brief, 20x2 is a fairly long and plot-dense chapter so it's quite the marathon! It's coming together though and I'm grinding hard every day to get it finished. In my internal timeline, I'm hoping to have it finished tomorrow, but I always underestimate these things so allow a couple of extra days to be safe. Once it's done, we'll be going straight into release prep and getting this thing out once and for all.

And for some exciting news... iOS is a go! Our next build will release as normal, but once it's up, we'll then make another post a short while later (an hour or two perhaps, assuming all goes smoothly) acting as a beta release for the iOS build. We'll release it here on Patreon first both to give you guys an early look and to hopefully pick up and iron out any issues before we release it publically. Sadly, Kronos who handles most of our internal testing doesn't have any iOS devices, so we're a little limited in our ability to test these builds. With that said, both CurryCatz and I have done some of our own testing and we've also had a couple of other people give it a shot and things are looking very positive indeed!

The iOS build at this point will be released as a standalone .ipa package for sideloading. This way, we can bypass Apple's approval process entirely and give you guys a fully uncensored release identical to that released on other platforms. Sideloading on iOS requires jumping through a few hoops, but is available to everyone and won't cost you a thing. There are several methods through which you can do this, however only one of these methods worked consistently and that will be the method we recommend - the method in question is AltStore, and all you need is a Windows PC or a Mac. If you want to prepare ahead of time, you can find the instructions on how to install AltStore here. Once you've got everything set up and the app installed on your device, you're ready to install Sileo when the beta drops. You'll only need to set this up once, after which updating to new versions will be a piece of cake. If all goes well with the beta release, we'll begin releasing .ipa's as part of our usual updates going forward.
