Idk about California, but in Texas you don’t have to be certified to administer Narcan, you can give it if you suspect that someone overdosed. Narcan won’t harm someone if they didn’t overdose so we always give it just incase.

If you're asking a grown adult (especially one with a partner) to stay at your house for a few nights, it's reasonable to expect that they might engage in sexual activity while they're there. If it's that big a deal to big brother (valid if it is) then he should have communicated that boundary. Banning the sister from the apartment now is an overreaction. He should probably just communicate how he feels and tell her explicitly that if she housesits again, he's not comfortable with (insert boundary here, e.g. partners coming over). Sister definitely overshared by telling him, not sure why she would, it's normal to me to wash the sheets after housesitting purely so the person who's coming home has fresh sheets. Getting the mother involved wasn't necessary but Morgan I totally agree with you that it's refreshing to see what seems to be a sex positive mother

2023-04-03 03:20:27 +0000 UTCI might be in the minority here, but although I agree the brother who's sister slept in his bed overreacted by saying she wasn't allowed there anymore, he is totally within his rights to set that boundary when it comes to other people having sex in his bed... my roommate & best friend had this convo-- she said she wouldn't care if I had sex in her bed, but I do care if someone else has sex in my bed *shrug emoji*

2023-04-01 05:44:30 +0000 UTCAs someone who had a sibling with a bad drug addiction, the amount of shit stolen is unbelievable. Unfortunately I'm not surprised by the parents, while mine didn't truly enable it they didn't really do all they could. In the end I got my DS stolen, I was under 10, and every family member in the area had hundreds stolen. My mom even had her wedding ring stolen, this op really needs to be careful with money, and unless they move out I wouldn't even have it in their car. Maybe getting a locker somewhere, or a very full proof safe very hidden is my suggestion. I would also NOT recommend confronting the sister anymore, addiction leads to violence constantly, never underestimate the lengths someone will go to.
