I love you guys but this was quite frustrating to listen to as someone who has been in a poly relationship. Poly relationships always involve feelings, if it's just sex then it's an open relationship. What Morgan described as her and Justin bringing in a 3rd is called unicorn hunting, which is basically trying to find a person to love you both equally but they don't get a say in it and is pretty frowned upon in the poly community. What this story describes isn't poly, she forced her partner into it. You can only enter into a true poly relationship if everyone involved agrees, it's all about communication and trust, no one is ever left in the dark and everyone is always on the same page, and it can work, but that doesn't mean it isn't tough or hard work. 😂

I’ve been with my partner for a year and we have been open the whole time, but it was a discussion from the first day. Honestly, it took a couple months for us to feel totally comfortable going out and meeting new people. We had to communicate a lot, take things slow and I namely had to work through my jealousy issues. We are in a really good, happy place now — but my point is it takes work and CONSENT from both people. Cornering someone into being poly is unethical. Open/ENM relationships are amazing and fun when done right but you can’t will your partner into it. You need a really high level of communication, trust and respect. Stories like this give poly people a bad rap - and they frankly don’t deserve that!

Polyamory works for a lot of people but it works for them because BOTH partners are okay with and enjoy polyamory. This woman is weirddddd
