2024-09-26 12:49:51 +0000 UTCi just joined patreon, and jerryโs story about after his mother passed away reminded me of the dream i had after my dad passed. So my dad passed in 2021 in mexico. I left to mexico the next morning at 5am after failing to get some sleep. I made it to his funeral and everything. a week later i come back to Kansas, it took me a while to go back to my house cause i wasnโt ready to be alone just yet. the following week, the first night i stayed at my apartment i dreamt my dad came into my room and say goodbye and gave me a hug. and when he walked out the door i woke up in tears. i truly believe he came to say goodbye.

I was shocked to hear you mention that story bc council bluffs isnโt a very well known city (I grew up in Omaha NE, right across the river). & I donโt remember the story making national news.

I canโt imagine how hard and uninviting most work environments must to for those with DID, and he probably helped her more than heโll ever realize by just being accepting and keeping her there despite the DID.

I love Jerry throughout this episode cuz it made me giggle and smile. I live 1000 miles from my dad right now and it made me feel really close to him when y'all were talking :,)
