Kaerwyn RP Plot: Much Ado About Stuffing/Director's Cut

Hi, Arrow again. Jakkal's been struck by some real life trouble, so I'm trying to help provide some content for you and give her the time she needs to handle that.

The Kaerwyn Dragons have been talked about some in the comics, and they exist in the RP, too! While they're less active in the RP these days than in the past, they still sometimes can cause issues, or have other involvements with the mortals of the Fegov area.

Nothing is as overwhelmingly malevolent these days as Sisari was in the comic, but the dragons still sometimes view the mortals of the caldera as a form of entertainment for themselves, like humans look at ants. And on occasion, this leads to interactions where they shake up the cage a bit. Sometimes this can be extremely dangerous, but sometimes it's more entertainment for bored godlike entities.

At one point some years ago (late 2018 I think), a group of dragons wanted to see what would happen if they adjusted...parameters with mortals in play. They would pull various characters into a captive 'editing room', where they would then alter details about the character, their life, abilities, memories, experience, then send them back, and watch what happened. Changes ranged from turning Endymion into a Trill, or making him feel much less helpful and more "Pay me to help you", Niixa into a starship. In a twist of irony, I don't remember what I did with most of my own characters!

I do remember Richard got the power to turn people into animals, and had his personality shifted rather substantially to feel that he was in charge. He came into the tavern one night and was very abrasive to Endymion, because he was mentally altered to a bully mentality, and Endymion is very nice...usually. When Richard called Endymion a jackass, and Endy responded, Rich tried to turn him into one...only to discover that Endymion had also been altered to be different as well and get a taste of his own medicine! Evil!Endymion actually went off a bit about how much people owed him (and to be fair, Richard does agree when in right mind) and demanded to be paid to change Rich back, and even then he made Rich keep the ears.

There was a round two later after Endymion was back to normal, but Endy won that too.

After a while, however, the chaos with all the characters being altered became a bit more severe, and one of the Kaerwyn Dragons, known as "Darejani", went to the dragon council to report the offenses against the mortals with Neek. She broke draconic law herself in gathering her evidence, and as punishment, she was reduced to a mortal for one year, despite her victory in stopping the mortals being used as entertainment.

The thwarted dragons, however, were a bit irate, and worked to create a new way to torment the people of Fegov. A month or two after, a new lycanthropic curse started spreading...Richard was one of the first bitten. He and another character, Jeremiah, encountered an large (think 'top prize at the carnival') wolf plushie in an alley while walking home, which came alive and chased them. Before managing to subdue it and stuff it in a dumpster, it bit both of them with its plastic teeth.

Within a few hours, they were plushies as well. It was only during the full moon, but they became consumed to spread the infection further, and while they would change back during the day and not during the full moon, it became problematic for many reasons. Richard ended up with a "Care Of" tag on his leg as a permanent sign of infection, and was sidelined from his job as a medic because of the communicability. Endymion (among many others) was also affected; while he was later able to treat himself to shift into something else, there was a memorable scene where he, as a large dragon, had to fight another plushified character in the tavern, and he ended up just squishing them under a table in the tavern and sitting on it to subdue them!

After a while a cure was found for new infected, but by that point the curse on the the already infected was too deep in their lifestreams to easily remove. They were able to have their curse altered to change them into something else, but still had to wait it out for close to a year before Endymion worked out a 'factory reset' procedure that would remove the curse, which was relatively simple and had been set in by the same dragons as a joke. Nobody was terribly amused by this, though Endymion has commented on trying it again later with more draconic hijinks!
