Mann, I knew that noise sounded familiar, but I'm not a Mac guy haha so I wasn't 100% Ship of Theseus, yes! I heard of it on Reddit, so naturally, whether I retain what it actually is or was is up for debate 🤣 Thank you! I *did* watch the credits, I just normally don't include them because by the time the movies over I'm drained, so I end up just staring at the screen and contemplating life 🤣 I love that we got to see a bit of the healing, but I do still wish we got it in the movies animation style, but it's no biggie. I was trying to be really careful with the wording - just because you're following orders doesn't make it ok 🤣 But yeah, programmings a bit hard to break as a computer lol

I'm kinda sad you didn't show all the credits here, because the full credits does continue the story a bit, what with showcasing humanity starting to repopulate Earth and regrow. Hopefully you got to see it on your own time, though! Yeah, I don't super fault the Autopilot bot here either- just running off of programming that was installed, and all. True villain is the mega corp CEO for sure XD

I will comment with a few random notes as I watch- first up: -The "bootup" sound when Wall-E is charging is the Mac boot sound, ahah. -I think re: Wall-E slowly replacing various parts of themself over the years, what you're thinking of is the "Ship of Theseus" thought experiment. Genuinely, you were on the right track to have this thought that early on in the movie, given what the conclusion of the movie explores, re: Wall-E not quite being the same after their circuit board is replaced until a spark of... I can only guess "data" from EVE jumps their memory when they brush their heads together.
