She wanted to be equal to Adam as they were both created from the same dust, but Adam didn't like that because a woman not wanting to be subservient to a man was considered bad. Lilith was then replaced by Eve and left the Garden of Eden. Some angels tried to force her to return, but she didn't want to. She then became a succubus-like demon known as the queen/mother of demons. She seduces men, has demon children and kills human babies.
