2024-10-18 19:05:28 +0000 UTCI'm a book cover designer and an important piece to consider of the Hilarie/Bethany drama is the publisher. Publishers do their own research of what the covers of competition look like so they had to be aware. And even if Bethany went to the publisher and said she wanted a cover like Hilarie's they had to approve that. So this was an approved marketing decision! And sometimes publishers push their authors to accept designs that they feel will sell more than what the author wants. So it's silly for Hilarie to be mad at her. Finally, my designer shade that I'm throwing is that Bethany's cover is a vast improvement, LOL.
