Changes in the works

I know I say I'm going to do this and then I end up not doing it. (Mostly because I've gotten bitched at for even just editing the goals).  But this time I'm going to have to just get it done - and people will have to deal with me evolving the goals over time as I try to figure out what I can offer with the amount of time I have available.

I'll try not to make this a whining post, but please keep in mind that I work about 10-12 hours a day just so I can do what I enjoy. But it's exhausting, and it leaves me little time to do anything else.  So when I say I have very little extra time to give, I mean it. This is not exaggeration.  And all of my work is computer/drawing related, so this puts me in a position of "if I try to do more", I might risk hurting my hands/wrists/elbows/shoulders/tendons/etc.

Anyway, let me get to the point. My current Goals and my current Tiers are not reasonable.  Most of what I offer, no one really seems to want - for example Second Life Avatars. Unfortunately, it's very very easy for me to give away things like SL avatars, and difficult for me to do anything custom for you.

I've talked with some other Patreon artists, I've checked to see what they give. And I've been told that I'm "too generous."  I don't like to think that. I want my patrons to feel they're getting their money's worth.

But please keep in mind that your greatest contribution to me is to keep Kaerwyn up and running. And by that I mean both the comic AND the RP site. That is where almost all of your money is going.  And with the money I get from Patreon, I make $8/hr on the comic - and that's not even subtracting the costs to host Kaerwyn.  And this is not even considering the time it takes to actually RUN Kaerwyn.

So basically, this is why you're not getting BT's, and why I've struggled to do anything extra. I have to make up the funds from the comic with commissions, which is why I've also had to raise those rates (But in doing so, I've been able to least give some of you guys discounts on it).

Alright, enough whining from me.  As far as Kaerwyn's comic goes, it'll keep updating as it has been.  And we're finally building this up to the very reason I started drawing the comic. It's an incident that happened to Endymion and Niixa that was a lot of fun for us to RP, and was something that haunted them for years.  I really want to take my time with that issue (Probably will start in issue 12) and not worry too much about everything else going on. Like I want to put my *everything* into these upcoming issues.

Here's my thoughts on Patreon Payment tiers and Goals.  Please tell me what you think. Your input is very important to me.  I would like to start this right away and go ahead and change the goals.  And if I do change the goals, if I find this is not working for me, I may have to edit them over the next few months. Please don't see it as me trying to swindle money and change goals (as I've been accused of in the past).  It's just me trying to figure out what I can do with the time I have available and still pay the bills.

The Payment Tiers:  (Some of these might depend on when Goals are met so I know I have the time to do them)

 Up to $5 - You get to see the comics early!
 

$5 Reward - Previous reward. Tutorials.  Plus reading the Monthly  Character AMA. (I would like to at least sketch out the character AMA in  the same format as we did with the fillers.)
 

$10 Reward - Previous Rewards.  Bloopers, Stingers* (Additional comic  pages), and Exclusive Comic Extras. Monthly Wallpapers!* Character Cameo  Rotation (When available). Plus you get to ask questions for the  Monthly Character AMA.  Weekly Sketches.
 

$20 Reward -  Previous Rewards. PDF of past issues*. Access to Videos of  the comics being made*.  Monthly Jakkal AMA.  Get to suggest and vote  on Wallpaper ideas, Tutorials and Extras.  Discounts on Commissions ($5  off one per month).  Bookmarks/Stickers/Art Prints (Only if a certain  tier level is reached).
 

$35 Reward - Previous rewards.  Monthly character sketches**.  Monthly Redline Livestream.*
 

$50 Reward - Previous rewards. Character Cameo Rotation with dialogue  (When available), Discounts on Commissions ($5 off every commission per  month). Free Adoptable Recolor (From available sets).
 

*The problem with the above is the amount of time it would take for me  to do that stuff.  I think it's too much. I need to cut it down, or at  least make them tier dependent. Also I'm not sure how to create PDFs or  videos. This would take me time to figure out how to do it.  It's lack  of time that I suffer from.  If people can help me set these up, great! 

**When I say this, I mean drawing your characters, not mine. The problem is wording this so it doesn't sound like a raffle, which Patreon doesn't allow. But I think I can reasonably give people some quicky sketches of their submitted characters.

Goal Changes:

 $200 month - Character & Author AMA once a month.
 

$600 month - 3 Kaerwyn's a week.
 

$800 month - A monthly BT page. Monthly Special Patron Commission. "Inspire me! Challenge"
 

$1200 month - A weekly BT page.
 

$1800 month - 2 weekly BT pages. Only Patrons can get commissions.
 

$2000 month - 3 weekly BT pages.
