GAME OF THRONES 5x3

my favorite part in the scene with janos slynt is ser alliser not backing him up. slynt was his homeboy but he wasn't stupid enough to defend him against the lord commander lol

Debs

I dont think Jon killed Janos just because he wanted to show him hes the real deal or because he's a coward and whatnot. He gave him an order as Lord Commander and when he refused he asked if that's Janos refusing him, in other words refusing his duty as a sworn brother of the night's watch and therefore breaking his vow. In the first ep of GOT we saw Ned put in the same position as Jon when they caught a brother who escaped from the white walker, breaking his vow to the Night's watch. He did beg for mercy but as kind as Ned is he knew he had to do his duty as warden of the North. Jon understands that and even instructed Bran not to look away from the execution. He is now the man as honorable as his father is and he did that not for pride or glory but for duty.

Again I feel there is a better way to explain it. But just trying to get my thoughts out before I forget lol

Yeah in the books I’m pretty sure Brienne is describes as “ugly”. But when it comes to the show by all means the actress is beautiful. But in the world of game of thrones she’s is considered “ugly” because she is extremely tall. (Like same ish height as the hound). Is more buff and doesn’t act like lady should. As well as what’s considered beauty in this world is for the women to be smaller and daintier ( don’t know if those are the right words ) but the ideals are Margery, Sansa, and Cersei was considered one of the most beautiful women when she initially married robert. So I think when you hear her call herself ugly I always look at it as a comparison to the other “traditionally” beautiful characters. But I also think they chose her not only for her height , but also because the actress is beautiful so it’s a metaphor for how we perceive beauty.

Jon would have shown him mercy and he did because he realized that Slynt was a true coward and he would be in fear and cowardice all his life at the wall. It was no place for him. He would have kept him alive, but the mercy he showed was to end it.

The book writing of Arya trying to get rid of needle is beautiful ; "...Needle was Robb and Bran and Rickon, her mother and her father, even Sansa. Needle was Winterfell's grey walls, and the laughter of its people. Needle was the summer snows, Old Nan's stories, the heart tree with its red leaves and scary face, the warm earthy smell of the glass gardens, the sound of the north wind rattling the shutters of her room. Needle was Jon Snow's smile. He used to mess my hair and call me 'little sister', she remembered, and suddenly there were tears in her eyes."

One of the things Ned have always taught his boys was duty comes first, you have to do things that you don’t want to do… one of the very first scene of the show was Ned taking his boys to catch a “deserter” and they watched Ned do an execution. We knew Ned didn’t want to do it but it was his duty to, on behalf of the king. The beheading scene really reminded me of Ned and what he taught his boys from an early age.

Sparrow like in captain Jack Sparrow lol we need to watch pirates of the Caribbeans lol jk

Ariana Escalante

I'm so sorry that your screen recording got messed up 😭

Ace of Kpop

LittleF%ckface is the one that set up the proposal to Ramsey! He did it for more power. He’s such a POS. He only cares about leveling up his own power. It’s so interesting to see how they all were in the beginning of the show and what they have grown into by then end bc of their different experiences. Cersei is soooo threatened by Marjory. The High Sparrow is gonna throw a curveball. Just wait. Heheheheh

"They can't leave you alone. Its like you're caviar to them" 😭

synnreal

book petyr would NEVER sell off sansa to anyone, let alone the boltons - it’s another reason why the show doesn’t make sense at times (this is not in defense of petyr he’s a creep and viewed sansa as his weird daughter/wife/prize/key to the north)

adelaide

yes, in the book brienne is described to be very ugly and brutish. it doesn’t translate as the actress is GORGEOUS but i’m guessing she was picked for her height and acting

adelaide

Anus Slit 🤣🤣🤣

Ariana Escalante

Omg I just realized that too 🤣🤣

Ariana Escalante

I got to protect Sansa I’m running girl I will help you 🥺🥺

Ariana Escalante

Sansa GET BEHIND ME 😭

Shakila

It's interesting to see how both Jon and Dany were in a situation where they had to execute someone who was asking for mercy. They both had to show their strength and demand respect for the rules/law.

Shakila

Honestly, the only thing I actually like about Stannis is his daughter & Davos. Otherwise, not so great.

Marvelous JJ

And nah Janos deserved it. If Jon had not done it, it would've made him look weak because you have someone openly defying and even disrespecting you in front of the other men. Just can't have that and honestly, Jon gave him so many chances but he kept pushing it. I also don't think he did it because of Stannis. He didn't even notice him there until after he executed Janos. Stannis did give a nod of approval though because it tied back to what he said to Jon about showing too much mercy. You have to have a balance and know when to exact mercy and when to not. And by doing this, Jon is basically telling his men that he is no pushover. He also carried out the sentence himself, something Ned would've been proud of.

Lalisa Truong

The transition to the scene of Sansa riding on her horse after Roose Bolton talked about Ramsey's potential marriage was both brilliant and hilarious 😂

Lalisa Truong

The only thing Stannis has got going for him that's good is his daughter. Slynt definitely deserved that, there's no way Jon could've shown him any mercy after he directly and publicly disrespected him in front of everyone. Like, no. His fate was sealed. I really fear for Sansa. Littlefinger is putting her directly in harm's way for his own ambitions. I hate that f@cking man UGH. BRIENNE HELP US

Regine S.

Slynt absolutely deserved that, you can't trust a man like that

Byun

"you've been running all your life" id argue she hasn't run away enough times 😭😭 GIRL RUNNN "Stop being a bystander" SURE, LETS BE AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN TORTURE AND TRAGEDY

Daniela V.

i feel like Cersei love her family a lil too much... like in different ways lol. Like she loves her children too much to give them everything they want and obviously the relationship with Jaime

Ayeyassha

I think the reason Jon killed Anus Slit is because he's shown time and time again he is useless at best and detrimental to the Night's Watch at worst. Even Sam, with as little battle skill and courage as he has, still fought in the battle to defend the castle. OLLY THE 11 YEAR OLD FOUGHT IN THE BATTLE. Not only did the coward hide during battle instead of doing literally ANYTHING to help (he didn't have to fight, he could've been with the medics or arming men etc.) he's now trying to stir unrest in the watch by diving them into political groups basically. Ser Alliser Thorn might've been an absolute dick but he always had the best interest of the watch at least. He fought in the battle until he couldn't any more, he was prepared to die for the cause. Which is why I think Jon respects him in a way. He's the one who lost the vote and you don't see him throwing a tantrum. His death was a long time coming tbh. One less mouth to feed

Daniela V.

We gotta get sansa outta there!

Brittany Joy

He didn't behead him for trying to speak the truth, he beheaded him for deserting the nights watch after seeing the white walkers

Daniela V.

The naur and the "he ain't gonna do it" then whack! Lost it 🤣

sailor lumos

In Ned's defense though, what the man said was so farfetched and even crazy. Ned was only carrying out the law. Is he supposed to also investigate whether or not the guy was right? Even if he did, he still deserted and that was a crime.

Lalisa Truong

Margaery and Cersei scenes always have me CACKLIN'🤣🤣🤣

Yogurt

I loved the Nauuuerrr—I think we all screamed No with the Sansa-Ramsey marriage proposal

Chris Moehring

hahahaha leave her aloneeeeeeeee

Phuwanat Khunkham

He got on my nerves, Jon does too. Like miss me with that Holier-than-thou shit.

Lakeshia Jackson

Naur! I was laughing during that, so funny. I do think Jon had to kill the coward because (the same in the military btw) the commands has to be obeyed, otherwise people die. Having someone around who refuses to follow orders will just get more people killed. Also, as a new commander, it's a show of strength. The brothers will respect him more for it, even the ones that don't like him. So I think he really didn't have a choice. Ned would have done the same. Great reaction, looking forward to the next episode!

Daniel Karlsson

You are not tripping he was the guy back in another episode, just as Tommen was back when those other guys killed the squires before the Red Wedding.

Lakeshia Jackson

You’re the first person to voice their dislike for Ned!! So interesting!

Sarah Wevers

People are so quick to love on the Starks, bruh I couldn't stand Ned. He killed a person for telling the truth about what he saw. Arya is my only Stark favorite person.

Lakeshia Jackson

Yo I just realized something: Baelish loved CATELYN but CAITLIN hates Baelish LMAOOOOO sorry 😜

Utpala Shrestha

❤️

Alex

By the way, Jon unknowingly avenged Ned by beheading that guy Janos Slynt; he had betrayed and attacked Ned at King's Landing on Cersei's orders. That scum absolutely had karma coming at him with the face of Jon Snow.

Utpala Shrestha

Caitlin I feel you ,my girl Sansa can never be in PEACE. Like can we leave her alone😭she always has the worst marriage and man who come in her life pls(Joffrey, Peter,Ramsay..)

kudoxs_liv

"How do you say 'no' in other languages? No? Naurr!" LMAOOOOO

Utpala Shrestha

Caitlyn vs Littlefinger 😭👏🏽

Sarah Wevers

Ain't Petyr Baelish just the biggest truckload of pig shit? Selling Sansa to the person who put a knife to her brother's heart. And he says he loved her mother and now loves her?!!
