Historia wanted to just die and thought the world was better off without her. Erwin on the other hand, his backstory perfectly summed up who he is as a character - he's smart, he questions everything he's told, and he keeps things to himself now. All of this stemmed from what happened to his father. Mother's first and last words to Historia was basically "The world would be better off if you never existed" ...It's no wonder Historia was suicidal last season! Thank God for Ymir
