As a trans women, this is absolutely insane and has contributed to me distancing myself from the community even further. The "fight" was originally about equality (equity, really) and its now morphed in to this movement that demands respect from all but all the while feels perfectly justified to disrespect those with opposing views and punish them for it. Talk about a mf Uno Reverse... How are trans people. and others people withing the LGBT suppose to be taken seriously when every time someone does something we don't like, we weaponize life altering labels (homophobic, transphobic, etc.)? The sense aint making sense.
