I share the same takes as the guys, I think there is over correction on both sides, yes kids should be thought/have access to content because they have to learn it somewhere but at that age? (I know these days kids start having sex in middle school which is what I think the people who made the decision to have this book in that library would argue because it did describe safe sex but having that material there normalizes set in middle school which most parents would find unacceptable) schools do teach more than math and English to your kids want it or not, they learn their socialization there, they learn from their friends and if educators do not step in you will not be happy with all the wrong things they learn from said friends who pick up things/ modeled from parents/environment , the same parents who think they always know best yet their bad kids show up in school with all sorts of “knowledge”. Anyways they over corrected on the “lack of access” and have given too much now, doesn’t mean they also have to overcorrect and completely stop teaching these kids about sexual health/reproduction/ consequences like they have in Florida. (That book belongs in a public library in a 16+ section where u have to show ID to check it out)
