New Team Members + Maggie's Halloween Costume

We’re at the end of October so it’s time for Paralives to get a bit spooky. We’ve created an Halloween costume for Maggie that you can see in motion in the above video. Beware, crows and ravens!
Maggie is ready for the neighborhood's Halloween party! Do you think she would make a good impression? We wanted to show you this costume first and we will share it publicly a bit later today.
Team Update
I’m very excited to introduce you to 2 new team members, Chloé and Sandrine. We’ve been hard at work searching for the best candidates over the last couple of months and we’re so happy to welcome them to the team!
Chloé is an environment artist so she will be joining Léa and Sonia in the Paralives’ art team. Chloé will be focusing on improving the art style of the houses, the furniture and everything related to the environment that the Parafolks live in. Then, she will be creating a lot of new objects, furniture and items for Paralives.
Next, Sandrine is our new communications director and she will be replacing Christine who left the team in July. Sandrine will be taking care of planning posts and content to share with everyone on social media, replying to messages and comments from the community as well as gathering everyone’s ideas for the game. You will surely meet her in the community section of our Patreon page, on Discord and elsewhere!
Finally, I can’t say it enough but thank you so much for making the expansion of the team possible! We’re now 10 developers, which is all because of your support. We’re very excited for what’s to come, namely showcasing the progress we made on the Paramaker and starting to work on the core features of the live mode!

I do agree that the art style has become a little cartoony but it’s still nice! Welcome Cholé and Sandrine! I’m excited to see what changes happen to the environment and I know it’s going to be much easier to completely focus on production now that Sandrine is here 💗

2021-11-01 10:01:08 +0000 UTCwow! such great animation improvement! I hope the art style changes a bit, I liked how she looked in the Holiday Outfits Video from a year ago. How soft the “cartoon” details were, and how she looked more 3D while still having small “cartoon-ish” details. She seemed a lot more real in that video compared to now. In this video, and looking at the newest markup of Sebastian, they seem a lot more flatter with a harsher outline and more cartoony art style. I hope you go back to the Art Style Maggie had in the Holiday Outfits video, it was the best.

I agree with everyone else too, Maggie looks so cute and seeing her in costume makes me so excited to see what costumes we can all come up with for the paras! The amount of detailing in her clothing and hat meshes is sending me. 😍 I'm hoping hair/clothes physics makes a return at some point though.
