We Now Have an Office!

Big news today regarding the Paralives team: we now have an office! To me, this is incredibly great because it means that the team will eventually be able to work together at the same place. We’ve been working from home since the start of the project because of the pandemic. We are now very lucky to have been vaccinated so we are slowly looking into starting to work at the office. Being able to meet and brainstorm together in person will be amazing and I’m looking forward to it!
After all, we are making a house building game so this office announcement wouldn’t be one without showing you the floor plan recreation in Paralives!
On the top, we have different rooms and each of them can contain 2 to 4 desks so there will be enough room for 12-15 people if we need (we are currently 8 and will soon be 10 people on the team). The big room at the bottom right will be our conference room where we can do meetings or even play new games or watch a movie at lunchtime or after work hours. Finally, in the bottom left corner, we have the kitchen.
This is the kitchen. The black wall is a black board so we can draw all kinds of stuff on it using chalk. The right white wall is empty so maybe we can paint a big Paralives mural on it eventually!

You might recognize this piggy bank (left) from some Paralives screenshots (right). Well, now it’s in our office as well!
I’m really looking forward to decorating and furnishing the place as well as starting to work there with the whole team! Having an office is really special and makes our little company even more real. We are very grateful to you who have been supporting the project, allowing us to gather our coins in the piggy bank to afford this office. Thank you!

(that Other Game™ has a green plumbob, for instance, so everything green and or diamond-shaped is immediately recognizable)
