Dragon and Girl WIPs
Added 2020-04-01 19:04:12 +0000 UTCHey guys I know I've been a bit radio silent for a bit. I've been struggling a lot with this illustration. I have built up 8 years of advanced workflows and techniques for painting dragons and monsters. The issue is that my skills for painting people have been pretty unchanged since like 2012. So it's been a big learning exercise trying to pull the girl's face up to snuff with the dragon. If she doesn't look similarly as good, the piece simply doesn't work. I think I'm finally starting to get a handle on it and I'm excited for the finished piece to be a real show stopper. Thank you so much for allowing me this time to grow and challenge myself.
