A Little Message About Clean Slates

Don't panic, it's nothing major. This is just your friendly neighborhood ADHDer letting go of the old to make way for the new. <3

This is the video that finally got me to rally my own limited executive function and figure out how to join the patreon. I believe in you--thank you for being brave and true to yourself!

Very happy with what you are doing, it’s ok this is fun and love and no pressure

Leslie

This is so relatable 😭

Gummybear

I feel this in my ADHD bones. I have found methods that work for me (most of the time) and will always respect the methods you need! Thank you for always having open communication

Oh how i can relate to this on an adhd scale, and can only imagine how being a content creator can only enhance those feelings. Looking forward to the future is the best

Cendense

Continue being you and doing what you can as you can. I’ve never wanted to put pressure on you about things you have said, even when my brain randomly reminds me of some of your past ideas. I look forward to seeing what you give us in the future.

AmosRambles

Autistic as fuck over here, I literally haven't written any new fics in years because I feel guilty over one WIP, like I literally can't start anything else because my brain is wired to either finish a task or abandon it, so in a fic's case, I either have to finish it or remove/orphan the fic and I don't want to do that either so I'm in limbo. I envy your clean slate for sure it sounds super healthy, whatever works to make your brain do healthy brain things is always the best!

bigmamag2

Yep, relatable. I think this is common with creators/creative folks (definitely happens to me). I'm glad you're going through this process; we don't want you to feel weighed down by the past or former goals that may not be in the cards anymore.

Respect. ❤️🌹 You've given so much. Life is best evaluated from the present, instead of forcing past intentions, because you grow so much as a person from day to day. It wouldn't make sense to keep a dream alive that you've already assimilated or outgrown. Whenever I write notes for a great future scene, by the time I get to that scene, the situation calls for something even better and works out better. Life is the same way. Live from the strongest passion in your gut, as it comes. What doesn't get done, wasn't necessary. Release it. If it's that important, it'll come back around when the time is right. And you've done everything perfectly, by the way. We tune into you for being you, not for jumping through hoops to please us. We get childish and selfish at times, but that's because you're so wonderful we don't want anything competing with us for our time with you. Enjoy your clean slate. Delete more often. Breathe that free air. ❤️🌹❤️😊

As a fellow ADHDer I can relate sooo much to this. Also, my brain read the title as Clean States so I thought this vid would be about the situation in the States for some reason lmao.

Girl so much of what you post is free so honestly don’t feel obligated to do anything. As a writer who is neurodivergent asf. I personally don’t expect anything and am grateful for everything bc it’s so hard. We all have lives and things going on and we’re all human. I think I speak for everyone when I say Id much rather you complete something well and be satisfied with it yourself than you try to please ALL of us. One of the reasons we love you is you’re so sincere and passionate, it lets us be passionate too so please don’t police yourself too much. We are so grateful for everything you give us. Including the community we now have and a safe space which honestly is the most important thing to me personally. You are safe here and so are we. So let your passion fly as much as you want and it might even inspire us to do our own video essays ect in response to your excitement! In short we heart you. We are grateful. Do whatever you need to do! 💜💜💜💜

Echoing others in that 1) I relate so hard to this and 2) it seems like the right call. New year, new goals, new slate. Let go, let flow. And stay healthy! 💙

Kate

As a fellow ADHD brain, you have my full understanding and sympathy. Smart move, and good self-care.

Minerva Grey

I relate to this a lot and this seems like a good way to move forward 💜

miranda

This seems very healthy. I think everyone creative has a million unfinished, half-started projects lying around, but we don't usually have to answer to a waiting audience, so we can just throw that thing in the corner and move on. The best thing about being self-employed is that *you* get to decide what to do - and that goes, even when you have an audience and supporters. Plus, I personally feel that we all need to save a bit of energy and brainspace for what is hurtling toward us in the political and social sphere. We're going to need to defend, and push back, and resist where we can. Leave something in reserve for that, so you can enjoy the work you do with less stress.

Malsperanza

I'm autistic (and possibly also an ADHDer), and boy do I relate A LOT to everything you said!! It sounds like a good idea to cut down on some of the old unfinished shows to make it easier for you to focus on the new ones, and I really hope it works for you. Wishing you all the best! ❤️

Helmi

You already produce a remarkable amount of content and your reactions and readings bring great joy. Worry not, and look after yourself in 2025.

I totally understand wanting to cut back on "overpromising" as you might call it, especially if it stresses you out. It's painfully relatable honestly 😅. Still I do wanna say, I love how excitable and passionate you are and I personally don't mind hearing you have an idea or a plan and it just not happening. Maybe instead of cutting that off completely, changing your langague around plans "If i find the time/if inspiration strikes I would like to..." instead of "I will" or "I promise to" could be a way of keeping that excitement and way of expressing yourself while minimizing the pressure you feel. Whatever is best for your mental health and stress is best! I feel a similar amount of pressure about my hobbies (especially reading) and totally understand the mental block it causes 🙈 I'm sure it wasn't easy to decide to take that weight off your shoulders, but good on you! Feels like the right move. And welcome back ❤️

Josie

Having a lot on your plate must be overwhelming, so this is very understandable. I mean, you know we would like you to react to everything, but it is really not possible, is it? This is a very good idea. 🫂

Lilah Kane

I don’t have ADHD but I’m autistic so I get being super overwhelmed by those types of things. It’s a good idea so I hope that will help u! Thank you for communicating it

Theo

Many hugs & I totally identify with this!
