January 2025 wrap up! A dialogue and feedback moment with our community.

Hello everyone!

This month I produced for our community the following materials:

Full Releases:

Latest Voted Suggestions Early Access  (Static battler, PSD, 4dir, Animated Sets for Animated picks)

With all the latest changes to my workflow and delivery schemes, this month has seen significant progress. All the latest voted content has been produced, asset piling has been halted, and a structured approach has been established to steadily work through legacy content—without letting new content accumulate and hinder real advancement.

You may or may not have come across some of my ramblings on the day I released Amatsu. To quote myself:

With the primary driver of a constant flow of assets keeping up with both new and old materials, this month I've been gauging my performance in different release schemes to deliver content to you, making Amatsu Dec 2024 ver into a full release was part of that testing. This month I think we all have a good idea of how fast the early access approach can be in allowing me to deliver older assets in a state where, sans the Icons upgrade I introduced later on in Librarium's life, and without the portrait bit on the animated ones, somewhat mitigated by the fact that the Librarium battlers themselves nowadays has detailed enough designs to the point where if a faceset is needed we can just zoom into the PSD and crop out the face, both new and old the Statics and Animated content going into the early access uploads are almost full releases ,fufilling the objective of halting asset debt from piling up, as well as tackle both the missing materials and new materials.

Taking all that else into account I think the primary focus will be to keep pumping out the older assets in the early access scheme you've already seen this month (Where I update with the Map sprites or animated battler ver as needed for the older battlers, and do the same for the latest voted battlers)

A few weeks later, and I still feel the same way. To truly make 2025 the year where asset accumulation stops and pending content gets tackled, I’ll stick with a workflow based on the guidelines established this month. That means:

This workflow preserves Librarium’s core recovery strategy: maintaining a steady flow of assets, keeping Animated Battler updates for Charged posts clear and structured, and ensuring all the latest static-voted content is produced and delivered under the new Early Access format. This format essentially improves upon Librarium’s older full releases while also steadily addressing backlog content.

Full releases and animated versions will continue to be gradually released at later dates for battlers in the legacy Early Access content, once a more significan tamount of them have been updated with their map sprites.

With that scheme applied, for February 2025 we'd be looking at a schedule like this:

At least these are my thoughts! But how do you feel about this? Another thing I want to inquire are Skill Icons, as you noticed in the latest two full releases I replaced 3 item slots with skill icons, I feel they add a bit more to the character/monster release, but let me know if you'd prefer 9 item Icons as has been the norm for a while.

I will continue working hard and I will continue to deliver the best quality I possibly can, let me know your thoughts regarding all these changes or perhaps other suggestions you may have, going into the rest of 2025!

As always thanks for your support and patience, I know things got really messy and hectic for a very long time, as a result of wanting to catch up while also increasing my own quality and deliveries at the same time, it was a while, but now I have developed the skill to finally set these matters in order!

Let January 2025 mark the tone for the rest of the year in terms of asset delivery consistency!

I prefer the items icons but some skills from time to time can be nice. I guess it depends on the monster. If it has a particularly iconic skill, let's go with skills. Otherwise I prefer to loot their items ;)

I like the skill icons for the animated battlers, as 6 items can generally cover them well and the skills can add more personality to each release. For the static battlers though, I kinda prefer the structure of 3 items per battler and I feel that its a pretty good sweet spot. But I wouldn't mind if statics had skills from time to time, as sometimes that could be the more fitting option (like magical creatures). In general the skills open the door to more variety for future releases so for me they're good.
