Denira, the Cithaerion Lioness Preview!

Today we see the preview for Denira as suggested by Anonfox93!

In the days before Regulus became a legendary knight, his adoptive parents were deemed to have committed a crime against the kingdom. In order to save his parents, Regulus came before the king and begged for their lives. The king wanting to get rid of the begging lad that had sought an audience with him, offered to spare his parents of their punishment if he completed a series of nearly impossible tasks that no man in the kingdom could do. To the king’s surprise, Regulus accepted. Hearing rumors of this man’s great strength, the king gave Regulus his first task: Defeat the Cithaerion Lion, a shapeshifting lion that terrorized the countryside and said to be the daughter of Hades. When he finally found the lion, she transformed into a muscular woman desiring to a challenge a fellow demigod in equal combat. After a day of combat the lioness finally surrendered willing to submit to any command that Regulus uttered. Regulus demanded that she assist him with completing his other labors.

Denira has very interesting lore behind her, so I wanted to make sure the visual and thematic design for this battler would be just as interesting! Unfortunately in my first read over the prompt yesterday I assumed no specifics had been given for her visuals, so I came up with my own interpretation based on what the prompt inspired! It was until this morning when I was reading the prompt from another source that I realized Denira did have a basic  visual description attached! Perhaps I can save that for a future release or reskin of this very same character however!

Given the prompt I just couldn't settle with Denira being only released in her human form, so I also illustrated the Lioness form, which in itself presented another question to me;

Should the Lion form be part of her rig as a whole, or should it be a separate battler she can transform into during battle as scripted by your project's needs?

In the end I opted for the latter, thus Denira can be considered a double release! Bothher and her lion form will be two separate rigs, which in turn opens up more versatility avenues for your battles and projects!

This month i'd like to try tackling everything at illustration level before swapping my brain to animation /marketing material production mode, for the sake of focusing on one task at a time and increasing overall visual and design quality, so we will be seeing a lot of previews for the monsters to be released this month first  before the actual releases!
