So I think that he was clueless that people could see him as a danger (he views himself as disabled person with no ill intent) and acted on habit with locking the door. If he lives alone and has a bad leg, there's no reason for him to leave it unbolted during the day, just to have to go lock it before bed. He does it by habit, just didn't realize he should try not to do that when strangers come by. Meanwhile you NEED TO SPEAK UP. "Sorry, I have rules set for myself for safety when buying or selling things online. I can make an exception to come to your house instead of meeting in a public place because of your disability, but I'm not able to come inside." Being open makes a big difference in how things play out. Worst case scenario, someone decides that you are too careful to be a good target. Best case scenario, you educate someone on not just respecting boundaries, but *expecting* people to have boundaries.
