We the Animals Squeak Redrawn/Colorized 16mm

The redrawn/colorized Looney Tunes provoke strong feelings (often negative). This week I uploaded a new 16mm scan of the redrawn/colorized version of Bob Clampett's We the Animation Squeak. It my number YouTube video for the week in terms of views (https://youtu.be/ogif6MheSKk).

At the time these were made in the 1960s, there wasn't a digital method for colorizing of black and white film. What was done instead is the films were traced over the original black and white films. To save time and money, they skipped frames, usually tracing every other frame, thereby reducing a 10,000-14,000 frame film to 5,000-7,000. The reduction of frames is very noticeable, especially when characters talk. For whatever reason, the colors that were chosen are quite garish.
