Pausing or Closing Patreon (probably)

Aparently Patreon got "requested" by Mastercard to put limitations and restrictions to fight against child abuse and revenge sex in Patreon. That's great and I support fighting against any kind of abuse. However, you are making innocent people take unreasonable risks too.

What are they asking us to do? 

Even if we haven't done anything illegal like that and we have been following the rules. They want ALL 18+creators to provide a photo of our government ID and a selfie along with it, so they send it to their "trusted" third party company to verify users.

Let's be honest, 18+creators has always been discriminated by Payment processors and websites because our content is "too obscene" and now Patreon/Mastercard wants us to give this information so they can share it to their "trusted" third party company to handle it?
I'm sorry but I'll pass. I haven't done anything illegal and I don't see why I have to go through this invasive process for the actions of others just to prevent other people from doing bad things.

I don't know where you live but here in Mexico, the government ID is something you shouldn't share with anyone or give it to anyone, and if you lose it, go and report it because you could get your identity stolen and fraud committed under your name. I won't be trusting any random company handling such information.

I've been responsible about what I create and what I post. I even stopped posting fanart to fulfill the responsability of following the rules, and I always make sure my content posted is legally done.

I apologize to all supporters if I pause/close. I'll keep trying to complete the comics even if I pause/close Patreon and respect all the rewards and cameos as well all your collected points.

Patreon page closed or not, I thank all you supporters for following me all these years.

Also, please do not post this in social media. My intention is to keep you informed and not to cause controversy and also to avoid problematic people from contacting me. 

I will notify you before I decide to pause or close patreon 

(I'll most likely pause it first).
