Currently deciding on how to implement party formations in the sci-fi project.
This game will have up to 5 party members but generally only 4, just 5 for certain story fights.

They might require different mechanics for how formation works, and different background styles. Maybe it can be a toggle, but I dunno, might be a bit overkill. Anyway, if it were side-to-side, I imagine that AI would be more likely to target the first ones in formation, and the ones in back are farther away and thus take less damage and deal less damage with melee.
Feel free to lemme know what you think. So far have at least 1 person favoring top the bottom
