To clarify - she wasn’t his wife when it was filmed, but they married since then. But yeah, pretty crazy, that she was the real life daughter of a Doctor, then played the daughter of the Doctor, then became the real life wife of that Doctor. If I remember correctly she also went to school with a daughter of another classic Who Doctor actor - so basically her whole life has had her friends and family be Doctor related.

Also fun little fact; the actor that plays Jenny is actually David Tennant's wife as well as the daughter of Peter Davidson (The fifth doctor)
