It's kinda anti-climactic seeing how under-whelmed they are by the talkbox. But I guess it makes sense. In today's world, the talkbox has been heard quite often and the novelty has long passed. But to me, this was the first time I'd ever heard talkbox when this song came out, and in fact, I believe it was a brand new invention at the time and this well might have been the first time it was ever used. The talkbox to me was always the main thing I waited for in this song and even today, I find a special kind of "yeah-buddy" feeling when I hear it because I remember how strongly it struck me in my youth. So I was naively waiting to see their "yeah-buddy" moments when the talkbox struck and all that was said was Alex saying "cool drums". I was vastly disappointed, but I really shouldn't have expected much more. So that's my problem. But still... at least SOME kinda of acknowledgement seems to have been called for.
