Felony Friday - Jeanie-ology

It took 39 years to take down the Golden State Killer. These days, commercial genealogy websites such as ancestry.com are a common tool used to help bring justice in unsolved crimes. In 1993 when a woman was left for dead in a Minnepolis high rise apartment, the murderer surely wasn’t considering his DNA showing up at the crime scene. Fast forward over 20 years later, a very important question arises: Can a killer truly evade detection in this advanced digital age of forensics? Or is it only a matter of time before they're caught and the FBI shows up looking to have a chat?
